Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
I started receiving "New version available for download" message text recently but I seem to have the latest version available. I recall something like this happening before after a month or year change.

You don't have latest version (redownload) or your system time is invalid. The timer for that message is modified accordinly to my plans of updates.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
I'm not sure if it's related or even relevant, but I first observed the message after replacing my video card with a new one. The date stamp on the .dll file was identical to the newest, but I replaced it anyways and the message no longer appears.ENBSeries wrote:You don't have latest version (redownload) or your system time is invalid. Edit: it began appearing again today. There is nothing awry with my system time that I'm aware of. There is only one thing I can identify that changed both times the message began appearing - I updated GPU drivers. The first time it appeared was after installing 344.65. I replaced d3d9.dll and the message went away. The next day I updated to 344.75 and the message appeared again. I replaced this file again with the most recent archive I have and the message went away. Perhaps something is restoring d3d9.dll to a previous version. If another user can confirm this behavior accompanied an Nvidia driver update, then this might be the cause.

Yes, it appeared for me once as well yesterday, then I turned off the game with a happy face thinking "yay, maybe more optimizations!" and headed to the enbdev. x )Maeldun wrote:I started receiving "New version available for download" message text recently but I seem to have the latest version available. System time was correct at that moment, I also had the latest version. I'm still puzzled why that message appeared.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
Folks, mod do not check anything in i-net, i gave up with that idea because of traffic at certain time of the day (need another server just to check that). The message appear only at difference between current system time and mod building time, if it's bigger than limit i set, then you see the message. So the only thing which may produce the "bug" is reading time, standart winapi function.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
Well, it's a nice blue coloured message anyway
Guess I'll just ignore it then.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
Allright, this can't be bug of the mod, so something else f* around and the goal is to find out what the heck is that. Can someone install old drivers to check? And i need to know what is common, nvidia users only?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.264
For me, the message began appearing after I installed the Nvidia 344.65 drivers, which were required for my hardware so, unfortunately, I can not install the old drivers as they do not support the 900-series card that I now have. It would be helpful if the people who have also reported the message appearing could confirm whether they began seeing the message after installing drivers for their Nvidia GTX 970 or 980 GPUs. I suspect that the 344.65 and 344.75 installers are "rolling back" d3d9.dll to an older version as part of the install process, or are causing Windows to do this automatically by invoking Windows Shadow Copy.ENBSeries wrote:Allright, this can't be bug of the mod, so something else f* around and the goal is to find out what the heck is that. I don't believe this is your problem, Boris, but it will require more detailed feedback from users to confirm the source of the issue.
