I am pretty sure it is ENB saying this?
Yes it is.
There are 3 revisions of the .251 without version change on top of my head.
Download the latest from the main page and you're good to go. Or you can just ignore it if you don't have the second revision.. difference is only the ExpandSystemMemoryX64 being re enabled in the last version AFAIK.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

A couple other changes too
8 march 2014
Updated ENBSeries 0.251 for TES Skyrim without version change. Added another error check to notify user if setting are wrong and disabled mist for interior locations.
4 march 2014
Updated ENBSeries 0.251 for TES Skyrim without version change. Restored ExpandSystemMemoryX64 parameter, most users report much better stability with it. Also did error check when it's enabled, may be this will help partially to fix compatibility issues.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

Where do I find ENB mods designed specifically for 0.251? The ones I tend to find on Nexus and wikidot were made for much older versions. :?

Go to the ENB prest category on Nexus and sort on last updated.
There are not many ENB preset authors who manage to keep their preset up to date with every new ENB series binaries release though.

Newest is not always the best.
I'm still using Phinix Natural ENB which is based on the .246 ENB binaries but it's still by far the best looking ENB you can find on the Nexus imho. I don't care for overly bright colors and "in your face" effects you get with ENB's like RealVision.
I hope Phinix will eventually find time and motivation after everything that has happened to work on PNENB 2.0.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

Thanks, I overlooked the sorting option. Thanks for the tip regarding the newest ones not always being the best. I have a hard time choosing between old and broken ENB's, but there are so many I thought maybe I'd try a different approach to locating one.

I've come across Phinix Natural before, but I'll check it out again. Haven't tried it out either way. Do you happen to know if it plays nicely with ELFX interiors?

Phinix Natural ENB (PNENB) works fine with ELFX interiors, i used PNENB + ELFX interiors for several months.
Depending on your personal taste dungeons/caves might get a bit too dark though when combined with ELFX interiors, personally i think it does make it a bit too dark.
Luckily this is easily solved by adjusting the interior gamma and black values and/or adjust the interior day/night compensation values (Shift + F12 in game).
Recently i switched from ELFX Interiors to ELE Interiors. Personally i think ELE works better for my taste, darker dungeons but not pitch black. Although i had to lighten it with ELFX and darken it a bit with ELE :)
ELE just feels more balanced to me where ELFX seems to be all about removing ambient light all together.

I can also advise Therion ENB via Nocturna if you like a more somber setting. It's a shame that Therion doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

Thanks, I actually just installed Phinix. Looks good indoors, a bit too sharp perhaps outside. Therion ENB is already on a very short list of ENB's that I want to try out at some point. If I find some fault with Phinix, I may swap it for that one.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.251

Hm, I do have a problem with it actually. The light or some light effect 'ticks' a bit brighter or darker sometimes when walking around lightsources or particularly dark areas (That cell in Helgen keep with the dead mage in it, for example, but also some of the fires along the way to the exit. I haven't really noticed it outside yet, but I only got a few hours in with this ENB. Not really sure what's causing it, I tried different options affecting the light. Ideas?

Also, the water-effect is missing. Happened in the previous ENB I used too, suspicious.. :?

I had this issue, water effects stopped in most places even when bDoDepthOfField=1

I was using REALISTIC WATER 2 before I used PURE WATERS. I went back to Pure Waters and my effects returned.

Not sure why my water effects work with PW and not with RW2.

Really like PW so I am happy.
