It's not the same if V-Sync from drivers gives better performance and doesn't introduce microstutter? From what I am aware of Triple Buffering is supposed to work with all forms of V-Sync, not just driver specific? Note, I don't just have triple buffering enabled.ENBSeries wrote:Unreal Warfare
There is no mine or not mine vsync, as i said it's all the same. You have triple buffering enabled and it's absolutely different thing.
This was something I didn't think of. I will double check this and get back to you.You have weather enabled.
I don't understand how is this to do with the game ini if the main Water enabler works but the Caustic and Dispersion enablers do not? I get the effects applied, I can play around with the parameters in the Water section. The enablers in the water section simply do not make changes when toggled on or off.Shaders of water not modified, you did changes to game ini.
What ini settings should be edited/untouched for this effect that are not already edited to run ENB?

I donno about ATI/AMD but with NVIDIA theres no way to get Driver V-Sync. Only things that work are ENB Vsync Settings and the iPresentInterval=1Unreal Warfare wrote:It's not the same if V-Sync from drivers gives better performance and doesn't introduce microstutter? ini Swich.
Youre not trying this in a interior by chance?Unreal Warfare wrote:I don't understand how is this to do with the game ini if the main Water enabler works but the Caustic and Dispersion enablers do not? AMD has V-Sync and Triple Buffering as options in Catalyst Control Centre.Samurai_Smartie wrote:I donno about ATI/AMD but with NVIDIA theres no way to get Driver V-Sync. Only things that work are ENB Vsync Settings and the iPresentInterval=1

It's not a problem for me as I can just use driver V-Sync and get better performance, but I thought it was worth bringing up.
And yes iPresentInterval is off, before anyone asks.
No. Outdoors around the Northern Coast as well as the waters near Riverwood. I haven't tried any interior waters yet actually.Youre not trying this in a interior by chance?
I just generated fresh ini's and made the changes required by ENB only and the Caustic and Dispersion enablers still show no effect when toggled.
I'm going to try some different water and see if that makes any difference.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.229
@Unreal - both caustics and dispersion toggle for me (7970M w/13.2beta2), but I have to save and apply for it to show up. I'm not using the helper mod. I use Realistic Water Two (still using .228 - haven't had a chance to update to .229 but will do so now, check behaviour and report back).
Edit: .229 has same behaviour, both toggle on and off if saving and applying.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.229
I tried saving and applying but it didn't do anything in 0.228 or 0.229. I wasn't using the helper mod to test this specific issue either.amoebae wrote:@Unreal - both caustics and dispersion toggle for me (7970M w/13.2beta2), but I have to save and apply for it to show up. I'll drop 13.2 in and see if that makes any difference or not. I will try RWT as well. It's odd because I actually get the effects and can edit the other water parameters, lol.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.229
I will chime in since I have seen the same thing that Unreal did I believe:
[WATER]
EnableDispersion=true
EnableCaustics=true
EnableParallax=true
ReflectionAmount=1.0
FrennelMultiplier=1.5
FrennelMin=0.38
FrennelMax=1.0
DispersionAmount=1.0
CausticsAmount=2.0
So in game if I change values for the amounts I see an instant change visually right then and there. If, however, I set all the flags to false in-game nothing happens. I have also tried save config and then apply. I use RW2. I thought it was odd myself. If I disable the water effect flag under effects then I see an instant difference. But the flag toggles under the water section haven't been doing anything.
EDIT: I could show screens but I just now went and confirmed that changing those flags does nothing in-game. Only the main water effect flag and the values themselves show a change. Even with all 3 water flags on false (unchecked) changing the numbers still causes visual changes.
On a side note 229 has been working very well for me. Been playing with it most of today while I updated some ENB's and so far haven't had any issues and spent some time playing with water values. I tried Real Water 2, W.A.T.E.R, and also vanilla and all three looked good.

2 AMD 6970 Crossfired - insta-CTD with v.228 + v.229. It's a shame, that water looks damned good and the W.A.T.E.R. author already has parallax ready for download! Next time I buy a videocard, I'm coming here and stalking ENB authors to find out what hardware they're running, lol.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.229
Tried out the W.A.T.E.R pre-released parallax file, and hard to tell the difference by doing enable/disable, save then apply in ENB gui.
I just reverted from 13.11beta to 13.10beta2 because I kept getting CTD right after a game load with the crossfire enabled. AMD done something for Skyrim to get that 9% boost, but too unstable. I didn't have this CTD with 13.10beta2.
Performance improvements for the AMD Radeon HD 7000 Series in the following games:
The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim® - improves performance up to 9%
