Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

Fix seems to be working, haven't encountered any flickering or shaking so far.

edit. Weapon and 3rd person ghosting seems to be back however :/

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

@boris, oh well, thanks for considering. i just think about such features as part of creativity, more tools for more versatility, and i thought it would really add to some weathers, e.g. fog weathers shouldnt have that much colorfromenvironment sometimes.

EDIT: just tested Temporal AA... wow.. absolutely no flickering for me now, a dream come true! thanks!

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

Just checked out Riften and loading screens with newest v265 and all the problems I had are gone. I am still checking places but so far no vibrations of weird textures on loading screens. Running very smooth and looks great.

Thanks Boris, much appreciate the latest update.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

Hi Boris,

I can confirm that the shadow flashing is now gone, though the 'ghosting' of weapons in first-person mode has returned. Maybe it is not possible to fix both issues at the same time?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

First person weapons and hands are moving objects, as any moving they do not work with temporal antialiasing (except games which draw per pixel velocities).

Around you in the room?
In general, this means data corruption in ram/vram because of overheating, overclocking, semidead videocard, running crap software on background.

ENBSeries wrote:Terrain have only about 5-7 available empty alpha channels of normal or diffuse maps which could be used for height data of parallax. Not a big deal to rewrite about 15 shaders, but some textures have white alpha channel, some are black, so this will look buggy if any texture will not be replaced by proper or empty parallax version of it. Don't think somebody will change all models of terrain to mark them as used for parallax.
And there is a way to add reflections to them? For example the riverside texture to make it look wet.

Hmm, it seemed like you somehow were able to fix this issue in the first release of 0.265 (with the shadow flickering bug)?

To be clear:

In first 0.265 release, the ONLY issue I found was shadow flickering
In second 0.265 release the ONLY issue I find is with first-person hands/weapons.

Can anyone else confirm that there is no hand/weapon ghosting with the first 0.265 release, or am I just crazy...? :O

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

tapioks
It's was not fixed, matrices was computed wrong and instead of proper taa it was accumulative (very visible at low fps).

Can you think first before asking? I really hate requests like "i want tesselation". Everything have it limits.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.265

Hmmm... I guess maybe I liked the accumulative AA! Aside from the flickering shadows... hehe.

In any case, I defer to your expertise, as usual.
