Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

@Midhras,
I think that your setup has just an error in it, probably a bad shader file in your ENB plugin shaders, or incompatibility with sweetfx or something.
If you want me to check it out, send it to me and i'll see if i have problems with that setup too.
But since Boris also has sdp013 i presume the info on Tweakguides is indeed faulty.

@Boris,
I have no problems with shadows, everything is fine with me.

Thanks you guys.
My current WIP build (don't laugh, it's nowhere near done) is here:

This is my rendererinfo.txt. The only real difference I spot is the fact that I'm using nvd3dum.dll, where Boris uses another. But that's probably a driver thing.

Are you sure it's not specific problem of some sky/sun mod or location/weather? For me both FNV and F3 work fine at any camera angle and any rotation of it to the sun, actually when sun is not visible in camera, but was visible previously, mod keep it direction from last time, if i remember. Such issues can't be because of drivers, only another game shaders or native mods (crapware not in count).

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

That's the config I use for Fallout 3, yeah. Of course I use a shit ton of mods. I'll see if disabling them will help.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

Looks fine with me those shadows with your setup (with URWL off).
Only thing is, with suncoronaintensity on (you have it at 2.00) shadows dissapear when you look into the sun,
so i Always set that at 0.04, the you still have shadows when looking into the sun, only no corona.
I just made the default game's sunglare a big white fuzzy ball to mimic the corona.

Other than that, shadows don't glitch with your ENB on my rig.

I did use my own enblocal.ini, it differs from yours..

Code: Select all

[PROXY]
EnableProxyLibrary=false
InitProxyFunctions=false
ProxyLibrary=

[PERFORMANCE]
SpeedHack=true

[MULTIHEAD]
ForceVideoAdapterIndex=false
VideoAdapterIndex=0

[MEMORY]

ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=true
ReservedMemorySizeMb=512
VideoMemorySizeMb=3072
EnableCompression=true

[WINDOW]
ForceBorderless=false
ForceBorderlessFullscreen=false

[ENGINE]
ForceAnisotropicFiltering=true
MaxAnisotropy=12
AddDisplaySuperSamplingResolutions=false

[LIMITER]

[INPUT]

KeyScreenshot=35
KeyEditor=13
KeyFreeVRAM=115

[ANTIALIASING]
EnableEdgeAA=true

[FIX]

FixTransparencyBugs=false
i gues your memory manager needs to be different, but you might try to adapt some other settings, maybe it works.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

Sun corona is transparent object, so shadows and ssao is filtered out for it, they do not dissapear.

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

I've been testing a bit using the newest binary with the new shader and for the few tod's and weathers I've seen, there weren't problems. It may be that it's only during some times/circumstances, or that it has now fixed itself via the update. I'll report back if I know more.

Is it at all possible that it is a problem that could be baked into a specific save-file? Probably not, right?

Re: Fallout 3 / New Vegas 0.237

I don't believe that savegame contain any data which modify rendering anyhow.
