The AO supersampling looks nice - and hits my fps extremely hard.
Just ran the profiler.. Boris, you said SS would make AO twice slower? For me it's about 4-5 times slower here.. settings exactly the same like before (sizescale/tex scale @1, sampling quality -1, precision 0, range 0.3).
From ~0.008 to ~0.045 sec.
Something wrong on my end?
@electricsheep
So you're running on SLI'd Titans/780Ti most likely?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.245
I'd like to add my vote for starting with all the categories collapsed, that will be much nicer to edit. If possible, could you also move the "Use Effect" to the other window so that it can be toggled easily without scrolling back to the top. Thanks!

Use effect is enabled or disabled by Shift+F12 if you are using the default key Inputs.
So why would there be a need to move it in the GUI window?

Re: TES Skyrim 0.245
To me, it just seems like it belongs up there with the rest of the general settings. I would also like to see the enable shader window and enable weather window moved up there too. Just some suggestions while Boris is contemplating changing the UI.

I suspect the performance hit will depend on your screen resolution. That has been my experience when using aggressive SSAO settings.kaffeekranz wrote:The AO supersampling looks nice - and hits my fps extremely hard.

Edit: see Boris's post about appropriate filter quality settings for use with ssao supersampling.

I'll think about buttons for weather, but saving states of editor is bad idea, because it's middleware and i don't want to modify other's code to get state if spoiler opened/closed (AntTweakBar is very limited).

You just wasting performance for nothing with such preset and FilterQuality=-1, all sence to use supersampling is ruined.

I don't see any reason to move UseEffect to somewhere else, shift+f12 keys are always exist and i never turn the mod off and those who tweak do never compare to vanilla game.

I don't have any ideas what could be wrong on your side, 4 times slower can be only for old videocards of dx10 generation with not much arithmetic units. May be someone else will share comparison results?
