Oyama, midhras
I'm pretty sure he was just joking...
I don't think SSAA would make people stop whining about the lack of hardware AA simply because it's so slow - I guess it's mostly people with lower end rigs using low resolutions that want to have hardware AA, so SSAA wouldn't do much good to them anyway, then they would just complain about the shitty performance.

Hope so....
People need to complain, human nature I say.
I enjoy this everyday on Nexus
However, once thing : did you see my release's front page ? Like " This setup will burn your socks"
Couldn't be more frank, right ?
K ENB isn't THAT performance friendly, right ?
Only SMAA with it, right ?
400 endos, 15000 dls, go figure....

Sometimes I suspect I'm somehow quite autistic. I always fall for stuff like this. I'm bad enough at reading people, let alone Russian deviates like Boris, apparently.
In fact, I always see Boris looking so serious on his news page that I held him incapable of laughter or jokes.
I feel violated.

So, we're quite the same it seems.midhras wrote:Sometimes I suspect I'm somehow quite autistic. I always fall for stuff like this. I'm bad enough at reading people, let alone Russian deviates like Boris, apparently.
Good joke would have been "Users keep bothering me with performance, so I just bought Bethesda Software Inc. to make them shut the f*** up".
Sorry, Boris, this would have been good....

I'm sure you know all about people complaining I really have to give it to you for tirelessly supporting, you're a true gentleman.
But yes, people are often very bad at facing new things, so they like to complain instead. But for what? When Boris was thinking about moving over to a deferred renderer, he plainly said it's going to be either the new effects or hardware AA - I believe this was mostly because of performance reasons, since hardware AA coupled with new effects and how complex SSAO+SSIL is nowadays would be extremely slow. It's not like Boris removed hardware AA just because he's evil.
Well, I wouldn't know, maybe he IS serious after all and we're going back to 0.102 Tatsudoshi

Re: TES Skyrim 0.143
The rambling people gave me since deferred coding came into ENB was extremely hilarious. Half of them can't even run ENB, yet they wanted 8xMSAA with ENB @highest quality SSAO and all that. Really weird
Boris
Anywho, seems 0.143 has good performance overall, no bugs to reports since you fixed the whole "big shadow bug". I believe you already mentioned that you will update SSAO performance code on the next release. The "snow bug" is gone, at least. I can set ColowPow higher than 1.0 without any issue, given that I've yet to find that weird mesh problem where the snow seems to shift.

he managed to kill LOTS of PC in such a short time
Hey, Tatsudoshi would still be rather good, huh ?
You're seriously calling what I'm doing on Nexus "support" ? Like "if you're searching for performance, you won't find it here"
SSAO full scales, 8XMSAA + 8xTRSSAA @ 4K I say, get the extinguishers ready
.... aw right. Let's get serious, now.

Please don't remove SSAO / SSIL.

What??? Fuck them all, those stupid whiners, I say. I just can't live without reflections and SSAO/SSIL anymore, being using them form "day one" as they bring a lot of life and IMMERSION into lifeless picture of Skyrim. Don't remove them, Boris, please.25 january 2013
Many users don't use reflection and ssao/ssil effects, so i'll restore hardware antialiasing in next version for TES Skyrim.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.143
I hope these lines of jokes wasn't spurned by me asking if 143 is optimized for AMD...
I just haven't read all the threads in between 119 and 143. I just knew there used to be issues with AMD to the point that Boris bought an AMD card (I think) and got pissed because it didn't work. I was just curious, not trying to blame the current version of enb or anything. It could very well be the radeon driver version I'm using, my mods or my enb settings causing my performance issues. I don't even run above 2x AA to save the performance I have. I know Boris accidently left something in that he is going to take out to make SSAO faster. So heh, can only get better.
