Re: TES Skyrim 0.217

@Boris

Pretty cool Engine refraction result a walking chandelier :)

I turned up reflections to maximum to get a disco ball like effect obviously it caused the whole environment to start reflecting needs heavy tweaking, we need a adapted separation approach (handwork) :)

Also currently with this new Firefox nightly build it's very stable working together so far no vram memory clash conditions :)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.217

hehe, I been playing with reflections too...not so much to make a walking chandelier though. All you need now is exaggerated lens reflection/amorphic effect. :D

Re: TES Skyrim 0.217

It's both reflections and refractions from the same object so in Engine it is possible it seems to be a .nif setup thing like the translucency and it can look pretty damn good with ENB @ least much much more close to glass compared to the default Rendering :)
You can see the reflections inside her open hand, but to get that effect i had to turn up the amount so high that all the specular maps started to react and a lot of the surfaces became reflecting as well, you can see it on the Wood texture their very clearly :)

It needs better balancing also on the asset level itself based on Boris definition for when the reflections take place @ which specular map color it's a glossiness level of x

Re: TES Skyrim 0.217

You can get some nice refraction effects - this is with a mod that updates certain meshes to allow refractions:

yeah Ice picks that i had in mind as a use case cool, also all kind of interior stuff could be enhanced visually with it, or these enemies in the game that are pure ice Frost Atronach i think they are called, also lot of general clutter could be enhanced all glass objects practically like the glass armors that look everything else but like glass, rings, circlet, jewelry in particular :)

That's the first ice I've seen rendered in Skyrim and created for Skyrim that looks like ice.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.217

It's a combination of two mods:

1. Refracting bottles potions poisons drinks ice and GEMStones (was on Nexus but deleted by mod author)

2. Transparent watery icicle texture from RIS - Real Ice and Snow http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/13466//?

Could PM link to first mod if anyone wants it - it's not my mod

How did you combine them to get that result? Not sure how that is done...
