Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

A little off topic, sorry:
Oyama

I've noticed for some time, but never asked something about your presets. You never have reflections enabled. I'm just a little curious as to why you'd disable that effect as it can be rather attractive.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Folks, i found bug with image based lighting, it's intensity x2 bigger than must be. Fixed in shader, but don't know should i scale twice parameters internally to keep exactly the same look of presets or just make properly. Don't know if it's important if will be twice darker for all existing presets, this effect probably not used much. I prefer to keep compatibility with existing presets, but if someone rely on lighting math when tweaking (if somebody understand at all), this will be mindblowing.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Most of the presets I've tried use this Image base lighting, it should be easy to update most presets except for the ones that use multiple weathers, but that's rare.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Do what you have to, Boris. :)
If we can get it up to previous levels again I'm totally fine with it..
And I wouldn't say it isn't used much; especially for more 'realistic' presets like the one from Confidence-Man IBL is important.
(And I'm making heavy use of it too.)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

I'd say fix the bug and we and all preset makers can just adapt. I'm suspecting that this will actually give us greater precision with IBL. Make it right :)

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Do what you find is good and correct Boris.
We'll tweak accordingly ;)

I don't use reflections for various reasons in my setups. Once again, tastes. I'm mostly relying on SSIL + speculars + bloom + DoF settings to have lighting how I want it. On another side note, I mostly realized that Boris was entirely right about additional post-processes effects, SFX and such, when it comes to colour correction (ToneMap, Lift gamma Gain and such...) Post LDR correction is a real shit indeed... it can kill some effects quite quickly.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Do what needs to be done. Will take a lot of work, I have 310 enb ini files for weather system and various interior lighting conditions. Please let know what has changed, perhaps can apply simple math to run through all settings instead of going over 500+ weathers by hand. Would suggest to scale internally though... many ENB presets are not being actively updated anymore...

PS @ Jafin;
The Kountervibe on my page is only using Oyama's bloom and prepass (has disabled lenz business (personal pref.)). It sticks to the name because it is an amazing work of art that he put online and led to all the inspiration. Everything else about it (enbeffect.fx, sweetfx effects, etc) has changed quite significantly. Thanks to Oyama I spend the better part of my evenings staring at notepad++ constantly lerping between "should go to bed" and "have to finish this", keeping interpolation close to 1 by drinking a lot of coffee.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

Lerping can seriously damage one's health.
Can't you imagine how much coffee I needed when searching for 1 typo preventing the shader to work, out of 3000+ lines of code ?
Better live in Brazil

BTW, stop sending me flowers, especially on Boris's site ;)
You're all making it much more than it is, I was just lucky with some experiments, that's all.
My new works will be FAR better than my previous ones, anyway, since I just start knowing what I'm doing

This! ^^ Couldn't have said it better. I think with ENB we are already able to make the best out of Skyrim's visuals.

Re: TES Skyrim 0.244

prod80's special Kountervibe preset based on Boris ENB 244, Oyama's original Kountervibe preset, CoT, ELFX and ELE is like cocaine for the eyes, seriously.

The huge number of weather types makes it very time consuming to update though and therefore we all have to post dozens of screenhots on prod's site to motivate him for the next update :D

...and to connect to the off topic...it's gameplay + screenarchery in one preset, but ok, look at my PC specs.

Here some screenshots on Flickr: ENB 244 CoT Weather Patch + Adapted Kountervibe preset
