Definetly my ini far not the same as yours. I'll test them myself now.
Made screenshots of ugrid 11 vs 5, for me it's difference between ugly and very ugly, not much sense to tweak.

Yes, bethesda took 6 years to made such ugly distant terrain. Very funny. I think even gothic 3 has a better distant lod than skyrim.
I don't wonder if i will not be able to play with ugrid=11 or 9. But wonder if similar thing could affect ugrid=5 with heavily modded areas with many object/npc. Same thing happened when i tried to install enhanced cities - just got almost constant ILS (2 per 3 times) in whiterun (enhanced cities is adding many trees/flora/clutter object to city).
I now began to think that something wrong with my hardware - i remembered earlier versions of enb memory manager didn't work for me (when for other nvidia guys it worked fine) and started to work only when you did tweaks for AMD users.
Also one thing - for some reason opening and spinning world map could reduce ILS chance by about 50-60%. Don't know why.

I can only relate my own experience from last night on this. I have been trying to run a very intensive ENB at x2 down sampling and it always gave me the infinite loading screen (ILS) (or at least over two minutes which is as long as I would wait). With 214 I had some luck with less intensive ENB's so last night I tried again with Somber. I got ILS three times in a row (was trying different memory settings).Btw, is unsafe memory hack have infinite loading screen issue?
When I enabled the unable memory hack I finally loaded (took 67 seconds). Was the first time, ever, I was able to run Somber at x2 DS with ultra quality settings and all my textures. I disabled it and got the ILS again. Enabled it and was able to load again.
That is the only test I have done recently relating to this.

LOD mods + ENB with strong DoF, helps more to cover the ugly.

Finally i found the place where having ctd or freeze while loading something (hdd led blinking), even when texture quality set to lowest (but higher quality have less ctds, strange). Unfortunately this is not at loading of saved game, so each test take a lot of time to run in the world.

Well those inis he posted look almost the same as defualt except for the ugrids to load is th only difference. if your inis are far from those then it is you that have unstandard inis for some reason becuase ig et almost identical ini if i let the game generate them of course with a ugrids at 5, and the grass tweaks which several grass mods require. Figured I would chime in here with all this discussion about ugridstoload. My experience with ugrids is that when using a vanilla version of Skyrim, ergo barely any mods at all, increased ugrids seem to be rather stable on a higher end machine. The biggest playing factor for which I have noticed that crashes occur due to increased ugrids is the spawning system, if of course you were not hitting the pre "Boris is a fackin genius" vram cap (which no longer exists because Boris is a fackin genius.) So that primarily leaves the spawning system as a main culprit for ugrid crashes, it's not the only cause for the crashes but it is one of the big ones. There is also the aspect that according to one of the members from the SKSE team and the guy playing around with that stable ugrids mod that Skyrim's engine creates a loop due to it using the wrong call function at higher ugrids (something along those line.)
What I am pointing out here and trying to get across is that mods which increase the spawns in the world will more than likely cause problems for individuals using higher ugridstoload. If you are testing and playing around with raising ugrids (a feat that I refuse to get into even now) I highly recommend you 86 mods which add or increase spawn points. One mod that is a prime example of this is SkyTEST Realistic Animals and Predators. Increasing ugridstoload with that particular mod installed is almost a solid guarantee that your Skyrim will become unstable and you will crash at higher ugrids, that mod has a lot of added spawns and a lot of added scripts. So to really get some good tests out there playing with ugridstoload, I'd recommend removing any mods that affect the spawn system, try to get your ugrids stable, then add those types of mods in one at a time and retest for stability. Rinse, repeat but I do have to attest that mods which affect the spawn system and higher ugridstoload do not play well together.
For that matter, you really should start with a completely vanilla Skyrim, increase your ugrids, ensure stability, then add a mod and ensure stability with the added mod. Do this until you run into a mod that's not stable with increased ugrids, make a note of it and try a different mod. Only add in mods that you can prove to be stable with higher ugridstoload. It's common sense my dear Watson.
