I meant reinstall everything, not just the vanilla game, but also every additional stuff (ENB, SKSE64, etc.) and all the mods. (that's what takes the most time, suggest to take a list of all the mods in the installation order before reinstalling)
But for testing purposes it's a good idea to just reinsall the vanilla game + ENB and check if the problems are gone. Then start to reinstall everything else.
Last time I did a test installation, registry was overwritten, ini files and some other stuff. Game wasn't starting till I solved a few things.
Backup ain't a problem, I'm just afraid I will miss some stuff.
But you are right, should not take that much time, I'm just afraid to do it.
To the other guys having no normal map shadows and detailed shadows, do you use SSE engine fixes?

Not that I know, it's for making weather system work and I have an extensive weather system. To be honest, I've tested NormalMappingShadows only with sunny weather (fw 10e1ee) that uses default ini file, not any modded ini for rainy weather or for some location weather. But I don't think there can be any problems with the custom weather ini files, because NormalMappingShadows and some other effects are turned on globally, not per weather.
It's important to have the ENB helper that's corresponding to your game version.
I prefer to develop one day real time version which will be better than brute force, just need to invest time in that. Busy with many other things now.
