Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.374

Boris -- Not every man on this planet can make something like ENB and not every preset maker can write his own shader, I, for example can't ;)
And even if I could, it certainly wouldn't be as great as that one kingeric1992 made. I'm using it all the time in Oldrim, but the port for SSE, he did lately, is usless for me.

and users..., some of them think that a "Letterbox" effect has something to do with changing the resolution of their monitor and most of them don't even know that they can tweak the DoF, in the preset they use, in the Enb UI.
So I doubt, that whether this shader is dependent on the intensity of the sun, or not, has any meaning for them.

Boris -- and another thing. Is it possible for the new valumetric rays, added by you in the latest update, to react to a rather small objects (particles), like falling leaves (it's a camera attached effect)?
I played with these particle systems lately, tweaked a bit. In this video, I'm using volumetric rays from "Ady's Shader Addon" (enbeffectprepass.fx) :

Just can't reproduce this, with the new enb volumetric rays :(

kingeric1992 -- Big thanks for your help. Really appreciated.
I will try to put this together somehow :D

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.374

Nope, rays which i did are only for clouds, large scale thing. Objects in 3d space (leaves too) just stop tracing of rays as occluders, but do not stop rays from sun direction. There is a game ray system which do this okay from shadowmap. In general large scale rays with such tiny one can't be well mixed in single effect cause of density accumulated with distance, effects need to be differently computed and applied.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.374

Sorry folks, i have no idea how to separate instanced small stones from grass, so modding of just grass would make stones buggy. Grass look a little bit better if by vertical axis (from UV) make it brighter, but this make stones awful cause of their shape and UVs. Back side sss didn't try yet, but with stones it will be horrible.

Hey Boris, by instanced small stones from grass you mean this?
https://imgur.com/oK3xPTy

or the ones that can be removed by this mod? https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecial ... tab=images
https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mo ... 109308.jpg
because both examples can be removed from the game if those are the ones that are giving you problems.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.374

Boris-- maybe you can separate them by the alpha channel (NiAlphaProperty) ? The rest of the grass meshes use the alpha, but not these stones.

Mirx
https://staticdelivery.nexusmods.com/mo ... 109308.jpg - i think these.

Guzio
Alpha testing used for both stones and grasses, alpha blending not used for both.

Ohh, if those are which are giving you problems, try using the mod that i´ve posted in my last comment because those are just small things that don´t affect the gameplay, if they´re removed and i don´t care if i have to play without those things, if im going to get better grass with your maybe next update (if that helps).

Just to give my two cents, I would think that most people wouldn't mind if those stones were removed if grass would benefit. With a lot of popular grass mods you don't even really notice the stones anyway.

I you need us to search for a mod that does something to help you develop a certain effect for your ENB SE mod, let us know.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.374

I am not interested to develop effects which require some mods while produce bugs with something already included in vanilla game, because i don't want to answer all the same bug reports here. If i don't find way to separate grass from stones, i'll drop it.
