Why do you think modders refuse to make enbseries only compatible features? We already have alot of mods that make use of enb features or even only work when enb is installed (mostly particlelight, which is really nice). I think alot of people would be happy to have new features even if they only work when enb is installed. I also think oldrim is actually still pretty popular. I can see around 10k (without pirated versions of course, but i would assume there are alot) people playing it in the last 24 hours (at the same time), SE even more :D. I think there would definitely be someone who would work on those features if they knew what effect they have.

I have no idea what the initial upfront cost is to get some of these features off the ground, but if you could release experimental/beta features, I know you have a small list of trusted users you collaborate with behind on the scenes, you can get ideas and likely get some good adoption rates.

The issue is that it's kind of a cyclical game. You're waiting for the modders to implement fixes or adopt a practice so you can release/build on stuff. And the modders are waiting for you to release "the next feature" so they can implement and experiment with it. Bridge that gap. Look at what happened with Complex Particle Lights. Sure you didn't have everyone going crazy and getting it implemented on literally everything, but you did get a small group of people who dedicated themselves to add it to everything in the game (Guzio and 4109 come to mind), and those mods are quite popular and look great.

Also, not to devalue what you've done, but you had nearly 5 years to familiarize yourself with everything about LE before SE released. You yourself said SE is an entirely different beast under the hood, so there is likely a lot you can still do with it, you just have to explore more. It might help to look at it as a different game rather altogether instead of "LE, but it's harder to do stuff".

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.409

I'll agree with Tacocat and Spongeman, got enb light everywhere.
As lighting is the biggest weakness of vanilla skyrim. We can put 8k textures everywhere. But only with your help Boris, Skyrim will look great.

I would've released mods for enb light, but Guzio and 4109 already took care of it and I don't wanted to steal their shine.
I would love an "enb light ultra-quality-mode" for interiors for the shadows and light.

Anyway, additional effects would be greatly appreciated. Would love to release mods for it and could put it on my biggest one with.

I agree with Spongeman131 - and my idea would be some kind of an experimental features section inside ENB. (For experimenting at everyone's own risk of bugs)

Hey Boris,

thank you for all your work. I wanted to ask if its possible to improve the detailed shadows so it makes the face mesh draw shadows like the nose and stuff or also the hair. thats something only the LE detailed shadows are doing but SE is missing the face and hair components. Is it technically possible? or is it too complicated. If its not doable thats ok. Its just another step towards LE quality if thats possible. Love your work!

Yes, but the more details, the bigger bugs of triangles visibility. There is no limit in detail level, except this problem, which fully depends from polygon count of objects (mostly bodies as the most noticable).

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.409

Maybe as an extra toggable option?
It might be buggy for gameplay but for screenarchers it would be super beneficial

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.409

Why do you think screenshots will not have this issue? On the contrary, for screenshots it will be much more noticable, cause they are done closeups.

Re: TES Skyrim SE 0.409

Is that worth to try out ??? and would bigger resolution of shadows lower that problem?
