Fallout New Vegas / Fallout 3
Graphic mod ENBSeries 0.150
Added detailed shadows, increased performance of ssao (actually ssil, when enabled). Shadows are in beta stage, i don't have some information for blending them and don't want to make deffered code like in skyrim for rendering unlit color. But as i expected, colors of textures in fallout don't allow to be shadows visible much.

Re: Fallout New Vegas 0.150
It's just detailed shadows like in skyrim, but a bit different, longer. Not much important.

Re: Fallout New Vegas 0.150
Is there any way to handle lighting of skin separately from everything else, or does the engine not allow for it?
Also ENB New Vegas / Fo3 does not brightness cap like Skyrim does, but I wrote an easy effect workaround for things that get so bright they go negative (neon lights on the strip mostly). Not sure if it's worth your effort to fix officially.
Comes before bloom and pallet so does not prevent "true whites" and helps some with the skin issues. You can do similar capping for bloom, except setting the max via the min function.
Out of curiosity, for Skyrim and NV, if I wanted to disable bloom completely for everything except my proprietary implementation in enbeffect.fx, what lines would I look for in enbbloom.fx?

Code: Select all
color.xyz = max(color.xyz, 0.00); //Stops negative color glitch on bright lights FONV
color.xyz = min(0.77, color.xyz); //Caps brightness early to try and avoid excessive washout

WHAAAAAT?!
Boris. You, you...
Just when I think "That's it! He hates Fallout. He'll never do a thing for it again... I must stop bugging him..." And then you drop this on us? (Beta or not.)
I hate you. Just when I don't have time to even look at it... I'll thank you in advance, and if you don't hear from me soon... I'll be tweaking.
Thanks for the Wasteland love!

Zinthros
I don't want to bother with separating something in this game, at least now. There are a lot of reasons, but guess the main is that don't see potential because of textures and models, it's like quake in my eyes.

Re: Fallout New Vegas 0.150
Boris, there are modded textures available, as well as character diffuse and normal maps, and meshes, that don't exactly get this on par with modded Skyrim, but certainly make playing this game worthwhile -- or at least that's what I think. I'll agree with you that the game was lacking on many levels, but with mods to accompany enbseries, the game can be made to look fantastic, I think.
If you want I can recommend some mods, and if you don't want to go to the Nexus, I can even host them somewhere else for you.
I'm not sure if your current computer is powerful enough to run those high resolution texture and bump map packs though. They may be poorly optimized and ask a lot of your GPU and video ram.
In conclusion, I respect your opinion, but because I really like how this game can be made to look, I'm not sure I agree with you. In the end though, because it is YOU who has to do all the work, I'll end by saying that I'm happy that you've even done this much. Any more is just icing on the cake.

Re: Fallout New Vegas 0.150
Thanks, but i'll never play Fallout, open world games not interesting me, i like different locations without headache where to go next and why. My opinion changed radically about this with age.

@Boris
I totally agree with Midhras, that game is worth to spend time on fixing in. With Fully dynamic shadows, HQ textures and models and of course good config, the game could look astonishing. I think it's the best option to focus on this game right now, MANY people still play this game, the potential of this game is huge (especially Fallout 3), even thought I hate this engine, I still come back to this game from time to time.
