Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

@Boris

Oblivion Stutter Remover (which requires OBSE) was messing with enb's day/night settings and halved my fps. After I uninstalled that it behaves exactly as you said. So I guess you can add that mod to the list of mods incompatible with enb :|

About enb itself the quality of what you've done so far is really good!

With a good preset or two on the nexus people will know what you are doing here and come visit the site maybe. Once I've tweaked a good looking preset I'll post it there and see what happens ;)

@far327

Strange that TM is not working for you, I used it to get rid of my menus and text (using default ini's). There was (is?) a camera mod on the nexus specifically for taking screenshots, I don't remember the name off the top of my head as that was a long time ago, but I'll have a look for it tommorrow while I'm searching for mods.

Now for some screenshots, I've only got the one shot of enb that I took after tweaking the bloom and SSAO/SSIL, but I think it already looks comparable quality wise to my old OBGE screenshots. Keep in mind the enb shot is vanilla and the OBGE shots are heavily modded (and a somewhat buggy alpha version) with texture replacers, mods and ini tweaks...

@Valks666

For me, I never understood the appeal of sexy character mods, but those OBGE shots are pretty gorgeous! :D

Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

I'm getting some kind of quick flashing about every 7 seconds or so only in interiors. Like it changes the settings around real quick and then back. Not sure what's happening but it gets darker for a quick flash, hard to capture with a screenshot might have to upload a video if I can to show you. Also SSAO is appearing translucent through my weapons, etc...

Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

I don't see any flickering of flashing, so no way to fix it or at least without savegame, ini of game, etc, etc, etc.
Transparent weapons in first person - don't know, may be i'll fix them, in oblivion it's a bit simpler.

The transparent bug I can live with just curious as to what this other thing is. I'll try to mess around with my setup. I'm playing Morroblivion so there might be some kind of conflict somewhere.

Re: TES Oblivion 0.165

There was a mod that added shadows to various objects (Limited it to Anvil only), but the modder (RPG-BlackDragon) had engine limitation issues. It had a tutorial on how it worked, but the link has since been taken down (Server was at oblivionmodgods.de)

I don't believe you had a Nexus account, so I tossed it up on Filesmelt for you if you wanted to have a look.

http://filesmelt.com/dl/Oblivion_with_Shadows-33413.7z

It seems (From what I've read) that in order for an object to cast a shadow, the object needs to be rigged, and have a certain limit to the bounding box.

While we're on the subject. I believe ShadeMe over on the official Bethesda Oblivion mods forums made further progress on adding shadows. I will try my best to find out where he got stuck and why...

@far327

Founds the screenshot/camera mods I was talking about, they pretty much just script commands already available via the console, except for the last one;

ScreenShot Helper (scripted console commands, warning this guy can't spell...)
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/41119

Flying Camera Mod (similar to above but with less options, and the guy can spell)
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/12556

Independant Camera (scripts keys that allow you to move your character while flying camera is active)
http://oblivion.nexusmods.com/mods/20818

Thats all I got for now.

Thanks Valk666 - excellent stuff!

I have XEO5 if anyone liked that NPC overhaul mod. :)
