I didn't any changes to the code after that, you tested and said it's ok and that's all. I can't modify anything else, because nothing to modify, fps limiter is very simple code.


Version updated, download again and test. In some scenes i reduced stuttering and low fps, if you see also better result, then i'll continue tweaking that way.

Yes fps is better in the same places under same condition i tested before. Also less stuttering. Feels like texture is loading quicker than before.

I tried the new version of 0.201
The same area I tested before: no changes, it's a fixed 30 fps (fpslimiter disabled). If I rapidly keep looking around it ranges from 28.5 to 31.5 fps. Tell me if you need more info.
Edit: with Vsync disabled I get ~40fps. With 0.199 and Vsync on I had about 42fps. I will test outdoor areas now.
Edit2: outdoor areas (tested walking around in Raven Rock) are unplayable. I get heavy stuttering and low fps. 0.199 keeps it above 25fps. I have DisablePreloadToVRAM set to false.

For those who get CTD when you try to load a save: change the uGridsToLoad value. Mine is at 7 and works fine. When I change it to 5 I can't load my save. Note that this has nothing to do with ENB. So please try playing with those values before you tell Boris that you can't load your save.

Based on your system specs, that might be the highest FPS you can get in those areas, especially at Ugrids 7! You should try deactivating some ENB effects like DOF or SSAO to see if you get better performance, or try a different ENB and see if there is a difference.

Also, there is a way to lower uGrids in your save. You can google the process, it works great.

Did a quick try on 0.201. Freeze at the same place.

Will try to reinstall Skyrim. Maybe my game is corrupted.

Have been running 0.200 until this update with these settings which work well for me and now keep TESV ram under control:

ExpandSystemMemoryX64=true
ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true
DisableDriverMemoryManager=true
DisablePreloadToVRAM=true (false for 0.200)
ReservedMemorySizeMb=360
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false

Peak RAM usage TESV.exe 906MB, enbhost.exe 1896mb, VRAM maxed at peak but no crash, running nice and smooth 50-60 fps, next to no stutter :D

Tests with updated v0.201 (vsync enabled)

With above settings, stutter much improved, still get 30fps frame drops on some scenes:

However if I turn off DOF (K ENBs) the FPS drops are nearly all gone and stutter much improved

Runs nearly like v0.200, turning off ambient occlusion as well gives some small further improvements 2fps average on same run

Tested new version with my usual 5 min test run:

326.41 Beta drivers:
First run was really really smooth, even the choke points I had at 1.5/1.0 SSAO scale was gone. Most games today run less smooth compared to this, just wow ^^
Wanted to try with 1.2/1.0 SSAO scale, but next 4-5 runs failed either by crashing at first load or at fast travel.
Went back to 324.49 WHQL drivers:
3-4 similar tries with crash at first or crash at fast travel. Last run I tried, it looked like it crash (frozen screen) on fast travel but after 4-5 sec it just loaded rest and I could go on:>
For some reason the first run was most smooth, even when counting those runs where it crash on fast travel and different drivers. They was still better than previous, but not like the first run. Not sure why :>

Don“t even bother try to load a savegame with higher grid than set inside skyrim.ini.
-Open save as usual with the Ugrid it was saved with.
-Open console
-Type: setini "ugridstoload:general" 5
-Tab out: open skyrim ini and set new grid (save it).
Example default:
uGridsToLoad=5
uExterior Cell Buffer=36
uInterior Cell Buffer=3
-Tab back into game
-Type : refreshini inside console
-Make new fixed save game and exit done :>

To fix small odd stuff inside save, going inside a house wait 24-72 hours (use wait to speed up time) and save exit game and start/load it. This will not fix everything, but it will remove some objects laying around and resets some parts in the exterior world) :>

The last two versions of .201 you've released have totally lead to the most stable, crash-free Skyrim I have seen since Skyrim's release. While the performance of the latest versions have been a bit "sluggish", especially when turning the camera quickly from side to side with a gamepad enabled, the stability has been absolutely amazing. I've been able to get a 3 hour gameplay test and several hour-and-a-half tests with zero crashing. A lot of the behaviors I had to employ in order to avoid crashes, like never loading saves in exteriors or never entering too many interiors too quickly before going outdoors, have been completely fixed.

There have been points where ordinarily I would have crashed after a brief hang-up/freeze that your newest work have completely prevented. Now, when the game hangs, it just takes a few seconds for the game to get right back to normal.

I have been testing it with extreme values, uGrids of 7, tons of highest quality textures, ultra K-ENB settings, forced SSAO through nvidia inspector, and absolutely anything I can throw at it.

Interiors are running at 60fps with very little stuttering. Exteriors like Riverwood, which are FILLED with trees in my game (as I run a lot of denser forest mods and Dat Grass) run at around 35-45 fps with some stuttering but absolutely no visual bugs or crashes.

The latest version runs a bit better with the stuttering, though I haven't noticed a huge difference. It just feels better.

Overall, I'm floored with how great the last two revisions have been, Boris!
