212 is causing frequent CTDs for me, and I almost never CTD in Skyrim. Going back to 211 for now...

Oh, I don't have a 211. :roll:
209 then.

PM me if you need enb v.211

For ENBseries:

Code:
ReservedMemorySizeMb=512
VideoMemorySizeMb=8192

For ALL:
Where can i read an information regarding every single line in enblocal.ini?
For example, i want to know what do these mean and and whether they can be useful for me:

Code:
DisableDriverMemoryManager=false
DisablePreloadToVRAM=false
EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false

Manany
Thank you.

I just played around with ForceBorderless and ForceBorderlessFullscreen, it's really cool as I (as many players seem to have) have the problem that tabbing back into the game makes me CTD (with and without ENB) when in Fullscreen.
These parameters are clearly superior over the SBW-Mod, but in Window Mode I often have the bug of having my windows cursor being visible in the game window.

Boris, is it in your powers to even fix this bug in a future version? SBW's way of simply setting the windows cursor to an transparent ico isn't working very well...

DisableDriverMemoryManager=false - again wrong, this depends from drivers, os and videocard. Fewer chances to get CTD or low performance if driver is bad and if it have own memory manager. But if driver is good, on the contrary it can give stable work and better performance. Also when set to true, d3d will try to do everything to not show any errors, at cost of performance or long freezes, so it's kind of "do or die" parameter, while set to false it's like "you can't? okay, ctd".

DisablePreloadToVRAM=false - wrong again. Faster loading times because textures and geometry not actually created when game loading, they are creating only when visible in camera. Side effect is stuttering when object not in memory, but very useful when saved game won't load because of too much data in cells (imho simpler just to set lower quality, go to other place to save). Cell transition take longer time only when new cell objects are visible immediately, so not always valid definition.

EnableUnsafeMemoryHacks=false - yes, again. This is for videocards with a lot of video memory, because this mode is if player don't want to have any stuttering, any side effects (except alt+tab issue) or by some reason this set to false not work (reason actually other software). This mode also perfect if user have disbalanced system like 32 bit OS and videocard with 4 gb video memory. This mode don't use dynamic memory reallocation, so no compression, no enbhost.exe. Also it work only when ReduceSystemMemoryUsage=true set.

Regarding antialiasing in riverwood, i these "fences" aliased, then only msaa/ssaa/taa will work for them. Even if i'll make antialiasing for them only, this is kind of objects which will produce horrible transparency artifacts with any fake algorithm which don't generate extra real samples. I'll try, but pessimistic.

Yes those fences have been horrible evrsince hardware AA was dropped. Overall everything else was improved but for some reason the fences there just look off. when in motion they even kind of ripple, I figured there was nothing that could be done though as they are a flat oblject

if you are using SKSE, there is already a simple fix for this annoying double cursor bug, and AFAIK it does not interfere with ENB:

OneTweak
(hit me hard Boris if I just linked another crapware ;-) )
works perfectly for me, and with the latest ENB versions I can alt-tab even without using the borderless settings in enblocal.ini

This test for those users who happier with 0.209-211 versions compared to 0.212

EDIT: file deleted

Any chance you can re-upload this test? Just finished work so was unable to download - would like to test this and WILL give feedback

Thanks

Been playing more tonight and have no problems with 212. It just runs very nicely. First load of the game takes a little but all subsequent ones are very fast (not sure if there is a reason for that). Still very smooth game play inside and out, day or night, grass and water.

I upped the spectular amount multiplers to 25 and took multiple screenshots ... but maybe its my almost age 50 eyes but I couldn't see a difference between subpixelAA on or off, sorry. I took shots of loading screens, standing stones, skin, water. This was at normal resolution as well (wasn't down sampling). Think it is probably my eyes.

Game overall is running super well on 212 though - been testing it since it came out and no problems to report.

I just wanted to give a quick update on the subpixelAA. As I suspected, it's not something super noticeable while playing but there are a few places (Riverwood Trader specifically) that have a lot of specularity (at least with my textures) like the rock walls, various metal swords and such lying about and they all look a little sharper. It works and makes the overall image just a little bit more believeable. I haven't noticed much if any performance hit with it btw. Might do a test letter to actually compare performance, but I think the difference will be negligible. I noticed someone else noticed a fairly large hit earlier so it could have something to do with different setups.

EDIT: Looks like Wolfgrimdark posted the same time as me. I wonder if the difference could be because of textures, different monitor/hardware or, as he said, eyes. Anyways, those are my results. Would be nice to hear from some others as well.

Seems to work fine even with ENB.
But my FPS are capped at 40 FPS in window mode (only! not in FullScreen) with ENB enabled (disabling it makes the FPS raise to 60 instantly). Does anyone know how to fix that?
It's not a hardware bottleneck, CPU is bored and GPU's each only at 60%.
