Hi Boris

So... is "ENB" like a version of your initials..? Maybe the Arabic characters that look most similar to your initials in the Cyrillic alphabet?

Boris Vorontsov
Борис Воронцов
E B

Do you have a middle name that begins with a Cyrillic character that looks like N?

I know you don't want to talk about this, but it is a fun mystery for me :)

I'm more interested in amd users who don't have issue.

tapioks
No, it's not my name, but the way you think is correct, in english.

Sadly.... Boris is right.
I don't have this issue, my water works correct, with any of my presets.
Precache is off.
Using WATER with displacement maps baked by a friend.
I'll PM you these maps when back on PC.

SweetFX or not makes no difference.
Other vars make no difference.
I may be lucky about GPU + drivers + samplers.

Boris
Yeah, AMD users with no issues would help the workaround.
Sadly, it's not on your side, obviously :(

Welp.. there you go.
AMD issue only.
..................................................

Thank you Kyo. I already tested different displacement maps. I even looked up a youtube guide and made one myself even that does not work.
Plus other AMD users confirmed.

Now i can sleep !

I see the water surface changed from smooth no wave to higher wave when I go from 0.20 to 1.5 wave amplitude.
I'm using the AMD 13.10beta2 driver since any newer driver not work correctly with my PC.
The water mod is W.A.T.E.R v1.87 not the latest because the latest had too fast wave animation I didn't like.

Well, just to add to the wave report, WaveAmplitude works fine on my system (.20 small waves, 1.00 much bigger waves) with 0.243. However, I haven't compared it to 0.236. I'll see if there's a difference in my system and report back. I'm very curious now.

EDIT: Btw, just for reference purposes, I'm using Realistic Water Two and, currently, the CoT Weather Patch version of Kountervibe.

CruNcher reported back on 0.236 that IBL can cause issue with the water surface.
I disabled IBL on my preset, so I wonder if that's causing the wave amplitude issue on others.

Well it is not all AMD cause I don't notice any issue from 236 to 243 on displacement. I haven't noticed the issue at all, will look closer maybe I am missing it some how.

I think that too or I hope so, but what could be, a screen of comparison maybe if you can..

@skysan4298
I'm blind maybe, but i don't see the parallax effect on your screens, I've the same kind of effect by modifying the waves amplitude parameter, but still flat comparative to the 0.236.
