also i really hope that Nvidias Driver restructuring that's currently going on for DX12 wont affect ENB to much :(

some think they moving the entire thread behavior to reach the speedups for DX9( though nothing yet was released about how behavior is gonna change here, if @ all)/10/11 in CPU limited scenarios, and i guess that is a viable assumption based on their benchmark results would be rather strange if legacing old UDA code would gain such efficiency boost alone as they showcased recently in their PR Material (Super Driver is coming) at least that's what some thinking.

Boris, I love you.

The improved performance at maxed out/higher levels of VRAM is incredible, I can now run through Whiterun (one of my biggest stutter causes) in full HD textured glory with only half a second stutters when loading further areas of the city, the only city that ever gives me trouble now is Windhelm, for whatever reason that city is death to my VRAM and it's forced to dump before the loading screen has even finished, therefore causing stutters on initial load.

Your game will crash. ENBoost and Sheson's memory patch have done wonderful things but having 4k textures on everything with a 2GB card is still a recipe for CTD's. Just don't do it. I'd really only feel moderately safe putting 4k on EVERYTHING with a Titan because of the 6GB of VRAM, but even then you're pushing your luck if you want the game to be playable (actual Titan owners would know more about this).

If you're lucky, however, then whatever doesn't fit into your VRAM will simply result in black textures. Essentially, there's no room, so the texture just doesn't get loaded because it can't. This is one of those situations where setting VideoMemorySizeMb to something higher than your actual VRAM can help (albeit with slower performance). You'll still probably crash if you're running all 4k textures.

The best advice I can give though? If you have 2GB card, don't use more than 1k textures for landscape and 1-2k for armor/skin/other smaller things. 2k is fine for interiors. Besides, if you're running at 1080p, you won't notice too much difference between 1k and 2k and even less between 2k and 4k, and 8k is simply pointless. The situation's a bit different with 1440p and higher but 2k should still be just fine.

Hey!
When i run the game i don't have the ENBhost.exe in my task manager, does that mean it's not working ? i have the speedhack ticked in my ENB options. Thanks !
btw using latest ver.

@jafin16 : Just to say 2k textures for landscape and 1k/512 for clothes/clutter with a demanding ENB and ugrid>5 is fine with a good 2gb video card. A stable 30/35 fps with only sometime 0.5s of stuttering when turning around.

With 0.252, stuttering is a lot less present for me ! Thank you Boris ! Nearly 10 more fps that allowed me enable Temporal AA (I love it so much !).

Don't you get ghosting with Temporal AA and if not, how? I LOVE Temporal aa but the ghosting makes it unusable for me.

I am using The Grim and Somber ENB for ENB 0.252 with 335.23 Nvidia Drivers. I get a little ghosting when turning around but not something disturbing (I really have to stare my screen to perceive it). Maybe my ini settings are responsible or the fact I am using a Nvidia GPU, I don't know.

I heard that lower FPS could enhance artefacts with Temporal AA. But with 30/35 fps, it's playable with pleasure. If we had motion blur, ghosting would be completely erased.

Aye I have started using TAA myself. I refined my INI files and that, combined with 252, gained me a good 10fps as well. So now I average 30-45fps (outdoors to indoors) and find that the TAA ghosting is a lot less, pretty much invisible in first person and not that bad in third.

The only thing is that I have to disable the cinematic bars I like. Otherwise they warp all to hell whenever you turn. But with them off its really not that bad.
