TES Skyrim VR 0.391

The Elder Scrolls Skyrim VR (SkyrimVR)

Added subsurface scattering effect, this version have extra performance hit which is applied even if subsurface scattering disabled, so if you do not need such feature, use older version of the mod.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Wow! Thank you!

Edit: Tested it, and it adds between 0.9ms - 1.1ms to my gpu frametime using 2080ti.
I think it's worth it. Makes so much difference in visuals.
Thank you again!

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Okay, i tried complex particle lights and it not works, all the bugs of billboards, especially non planar meshes (like from fireplace) show glitches which usually not visible with non vr.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

I have no solution to them, even with simplest billboards like glows of candles looks buggy, because bethesda made them rotating to camera direction, not to camera position, so when turn head, they are also turning and become thinner, so as light they are also changing. Because of high fov in vr and stereo, it's very much visible. I keep trying to find solution, but no idea.

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Hi Boris, I have a problem with the new SSS effect in VR version. Blood decals on npcs don't get the SSS effect and area around them appear darker than the rest of the skin. Disabling SSS fixes the issue. Any way to fix this?

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

I will try to find this myself, but if it's what i think and same as in non vr skyrims, most likely can fix by lot of testing (cause need to see shaders, some will be missed).

Re: TES Skyrim VR 0.391

Found only two blood decals and fixed (but mod not updated yet). Im sure there are more at some conditions, maybe with non vanilla bodies.

About problem with particles, they are wrong in vr skyrim, here is why

Blood decals on ground(snow etc.) causes this issue too. Also scars appear darker(gray) with this.
