The Elder Scrolls Skyrim SE (SSE)
Added normal mapping shadows effect for sun light, complex particle and fire lights. Optimized performance a little of complex particles and fire lights. Added desaturation parameter for game volumetric rays.

This sounds like some very nice additions, saw the gta screenshots back then and was very impressed.
Thank you

Not really, effect in GTA5 worth it, especially for non urban places. But in Skyrim it's barely noticable, just rocks and walls made from stones improved and this do not change visuals dramatically. Requested to make this effect for characters, but i know it will not differ much from detailed shadows, just wrinkles cast shadows and other places are the same as detailed shadows.

Ok, thanks for the info. Looks good still.
What's the best way to deal with specular values of commonly used meshes like:
Data\meshes\clutter\woodfires\campfire01landburning.nif
84 BSTriShape
dirt02.dds
This mesh has no specular flag.
I thought SE got added specular for the world/terrain mesh, but of course they didn't change the meshes.
LE doesn't have this afaik.
So would it be best to activate that flag to get less of a seam?
Which values for spec, gloss and spec color would you recommend?
Most commonly I think are gloss (30,50) 80 with a spec strength of 1 and color white 255.
Stumbled across this many times, should be added to USLEEP imo.
Last time with Mindflux awesome Embers mod.
I'm updating those entries for dozens of mods every update and would contact the authors instead in the future, if I stumbled across something here.
Thank you

I am not familiar with such things of native modding.

For some reason I don't see normal mapping shadows.
Tried several different times on a sunny day.
Not even a single pixel changed.
Anybody else got this?

I don't notice a difference either. But I figured that was because, as Boris said, the effect doesn't work that well in Skyrim compared to other games.

Is Field of view 90 a requirement?
I know how the effect should look like. It's a very good addition to the game. Top notch work and thank you Boris.
It's not that it only has a sleight visual effect, but doesn't get displayed at all.
Put the checkmark several times on and off at different times of day.
Started the game a few times.
Using TK SE Enb, maybe it has something to do with this or with my mod list.
Everybody who has the same issue, please post it, so we can figure out what the reason is. Maybe we can narrow it down.
