Re: (Skyrim) Huge fps drop with ENB
Depends from setting in enbseries.ini per effect. Ambient occlusion is very slow when quality is high. Reflections too. Some depth of field shaders made by users are very slow. But game have some specific issues with multithreading, you may not see fps difference even by toggling on/off the heaviest effects, at same time very simple effect will make fps much lower. Don't pay much attention to fps per effect, always watch out of their combo and for desired display resolution.

Re: (Skyrim) Huge fps drop with ENB
So I did a clean install with no mods and added Real Like ENB that suggests v.113 which does indeed affect performance a lot less (but still does). Then I updated only the .dll with newer versions (132, 221, 236, 265) to see what happens and even with the same ENB settings, performance would degrade rapidly over each version. My conclusion is that no matter the settings each update of the .dll gets more resource hungry. So from roughly 30 fps to 10 fps by updating the .dll ;-(
I understand that each version adds new effects but it seems that even when I turn them off I don't recover framerate.

C'mon, 30 to 10 fps sounds silly like prehistoric budget videocard. I had such drop with radeon 6450 for desktop which is not gamer model. If you have such issues for real, just drop it.
