I'm always looking to improve the performance with my ENB profile together with .ini tweaks.
So the only effects I'm using are bloom and sunrays. I'm also using the old HD6 crisp bloom and his postprocess 5.

My question is: what binary version gives the best performance based on the effects I'm using?
My profile is based on prOPA ENB .119 and since the ENB updates always seem to be about SSS and SSAO I'm really curious if I need the updates.

the only way you can increase performance by tweaking .ini is to disable certain effect or lower the qualities of each effect.
there's actually nothing much you can do!

usually SSAO/DoF/SunRay/Reflections are the ones which ate your framerate.
FXAA and Detailed Shadow took me <1fps so I don't know how hard they hit.
tweaking the quality and filter types also took no noticeable difference.

about the binary versions, I've used several ENB binaries, but none of them have noticeable difference in speed, maybe like 29 vs 31 fps.
however I tweaked each .fx files to get different effect (bokeh DoF, PP, etc).

~7% improvement is actually pretty huge for a piece of code, but 2 fps is barely noticeable with human eye.
so if your box weren't be able to take the punch - it just still won't be able to take it.
there's no "Magic Binary" which boosts your game from 15fps to 25fps.

you can give SweetFX a try if all you want is bloom and PP (you might have to port the .fx over), however it doesn't do sun ray because it doesn't know where the sun is.
i think you can modify the in-game sun flare texture to archive similar effect.

No there's no magical ENB binary that boost my performance...
But I asked if there's a difference between .119 and .151 performance wised if all the effects I'm using are bloom and sunrays. Sunray I can live without. I don't think it existed in .119... But I could be wrong.
And the .ini tweaks I was talking about was the SkyrimPrefs.ini, not the enbseries.ini.

Curently I'm using:
Bloom
Sunray
UseBilateralShadowFilter (only because I use low res shadows and this tiny filter makes shadows look acceptable)
Sky
Environment

And based on these effects, what binary gives the best performance and/or is there any difference between .119 and .151 with these effects at all?

Never thought of using SweetFX. Never tried it... But I read that the bloom is quite "broken".

i use 119 & 151, and i think 151 more stable then 119. 151 also performance friendly too, as long u don't turn on all the effect. i got 25-40 outdoor Using 151 Everyting On except DoF. Indoor 45-60 and that's good enough for me. No 2k mod Texture, My spec: Core 2, HD5830 1G, 3GbRAM. Sorry if my english bad. Nb: I can't play Skyrim without ENB ;)

What I like about the new ENB versions is the SSS on vegetation/trees, and the fact you can tweak the window light so it doesn't glow at daytime.

I've locked my fps at 32 so the game doesn't stutter. And it's impossible for me to play Skyrim without ENB too :D
