Lately I have been getting allot of CTD. So I ran "Skyrim Performance Monitor" and it shows my vram going over its limit. I'm using an enb and have editied the enblocal.ini file so that I don't go over the 3.1gb ram limit. However this has increased my vram usage quite significantly.

Is there something I can further tweak in the enblocal.ini or any other file which will reduce my vram?

I've used the texture optimiser mod too.

Out of video memory (vrma crashes as you called it) can't cause issues, it's not acting like ram, you searching in wrong direction.
