Thanks man!
Why can't i find this kind of information in guides . .
Now what exactly the reserved memory does ? and btw i manually setup the memory in the enblocal.ini is it better for him to auto detect ?

ReservedMemorySizeMb - this depends too much from 32/64 bit system and vram size. Smaller - less ram usage of the game (fewer CTDs), but bigger in most cases means less stuttering in very heavy areas where many mods used (and ugrid too high). If user have 512 mb of vram, this value 512 is also nice, because entire video memory will be dynamic, it's already small for heavily modded game, so better to not block it by static data. As i understood from posts, lower value also helps to some users with infinite loading screens (perhaps they happen because i'm forcing in cycle to free old memory and try again to allocate for new resources)

All the memory settings require a bit of experimentation to find what works best for your system and Skyim setup.

Experiment with VRAM size parameter, auto ignores the value set and the mod tries to allocate as much as it can - if this doesn't perform well set auto off and experiment with different values (you can set lower than your actual VRAM and set a higher reserve size.) Systematically work your way through different combinations of values noting results.

Also check your SSAO settings - v high quality, complex ao and high sizescale increase VRAM usage and GFX card load - which can cause choppy performance even at relatively decent FPS.

How would i know what performs well or not ? You mean stutters and jitters ? or would it be expressed with CTD.
And another question with the SSME memory patch and all how much RAM should i be using ? i mean exact number because i heard that the SSME allows you to go up to 4gigs ?
And this has no workarounds right ? as soon as i hit the mark i ctd correct ?

ENBoost will take care of 4Gb limit. SSME will take care of Skyrim filling first memory block and crashing. Just use both.
SSME is set to 512mb for block 1 and 256 for block 2 by default. Those are the recommended settings, and will be enough unless you're going to use loads of gameplay mods.

edit: and if you will, your Skyrim will become unplayable really soon xD

so again theres no way to measure this ? :P
Omg lol theres what's the point of all the meters and performance managers ?
Oh and thanks for all your insightful information i really appreciate it !
It's just i'm used to simple math, do's and don'ts and all i want is a content rich game but playing it for 20 levels and finding out it's unstable is just sucks and when i CTD it ruins all the immersion this game creates and i catch my self thinking "oh i haven't CTD in a long time . . will it happen now . . or now ? . . . maybe now ?" and it just sucks you know ?
So thought following caution and measure performance . . but i guess this won't help anymore . .

Measure what?

Well i'm guessing the ENBoost can't expand the memory indefinably . . Measure how much RAM it can handle with his function of assisting the RAM limit.

Post subject:  Re: VRAM and RAM and ENBoost

the most I've seen Skyrim use is 9gb (Total usage VRAM plus RAM.) That was with a 40gb data folder, 230 plugins and ugrids 9. I believe Boris updated the memory function to allow up to 100gig max usage - ie more than you could ever use :D

My advise stop worrying about the numbers and concentrate on modding and playing it ;)

Wow!

Ok just read your system specs in the sig.
Well you have 16gb of ram which means skyrim uses 3.1 and you've got two GPU's with 3gb but they are mirrored meaning you have 3gb VRAM which sums it all up to 6gb of usable resources.
And you say it uses 9gb ? wow additional 3 beyond the limit ?

So how stable is your game ?
How did you measure the 9gb usage ?
How smooth is your performance ?

Thanks for all the very helpful info! all this gives me a starting point :)

Try this for easy monitoring: (you can set to monitor ENB RAM usage)

http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/6491/?

Edit: ENB will fully use your VRAM, will then try and keep TESV.exe RAM usage to a minimum and uses enbhost.exe for addition RAM so TSEV never uses more than 3.1gb, enbhost is used for the rest - ENB is constantly swapping resources as required between these resourses

I have a very stable game, with generally smooth performance, 50-60 FPS outdoors with vey high quality settings @ 1440p
