Re: Red Sky/only shadows/SSAO

Hi all, I´m encountering the same problem, already tried disabling antialiasing in skyrimprefs.ini ATi CCC, even in ENB but problem persist ONLY when looking at certaing angles, I´m using mastereffects 2.0 FXAA effect.txt and ENB v0.113

Re: Red Sky/only shadows/SSAO

If this happen only at certain angles, then something is corrupted with shaders of the game, external like enbeffect.fx or driver bug or wrong setting. First of all, try to use only my official external shaders and config. If not helps, restore skyrimprefs.ini and skyrim.ini if you did changes to them. Antialiasing issue is common, but don't think that ONLY when looking at certaing angles. Drivers are always weak side of amd/ati cards, so upgrade or downgrade them, better to ask other amd users. At last, 0.113 is prehistoric and developed for very old version of the game, don't remember if it even tested with amd cards.

Re: Red Sky/only shadows/SSAO

Thank you !!!, now that you mention it, I´ve replaced the original enbeffectprepass.fx with the DoF from Matso´s, will try with original ENB v0.113... I know it´s old, but it´s blazing fast !!

Will have a look on the Cataclysm Control Center, not much that I can do about it...

I´ve been trying lots of FXAA but none looks as smooth yet well defined as the one that marty wrote there...
You should try it, it´s as smooth as sweetfx SMAA + FXAA combined, but has no FPS cost, looks way better to me indeed !

Thank you very much !! I still don´t understand how you do your magic, but keep at it !!!

Re: Red Sky/only shadows/SSAO

I´ve been testing again the masterfx 2.0 FXAA code, and I can say that it looks better than sweetfx FXAA at maximum quality, it has better subpixel antialiasing, and is damn smooth, ice cream smooth indeed, but doesn´t seems to affect textures somehow, it looks better than forcing edge detect 24xEQ from CCC, unfortunately, it works at certain angles and other angles doesn´t, gives me the red sky and white objects with shadows, even with default ENB v0.262, it´s impressive to see how much better shadows are rendered in this new version, compared to v0.113, now I´m tempted to port my ENB settings to v0.262...

Looking and comparing the code to nvidia FXAA v3.11, it´s way too diferent, even from versions for xbox360 and ps3, it looks more like the FXAA code for GLSL, but I´m still trying to learn the basics, I don´t know how this guy Marty did it, but after watching the results I can only say that Marty deserves a lot of respect !!!
