Which one is that, exactly? I have Rudy Rudy ENB 3.5c (319) for CoT and it comes with a variety of DoF options.

Re: DoF with v0.319

Good question... probably a default one, if there's such a thing.

In any case it doesn't seem like it's a problem with the binary or the meshes.

Re: DoF with v0.319

I have an idea. Maybe that dof shader use alpha channel for something, like storing depth for performance reasons (or alpha blending enabled), but i started to output alpha from game directly, not writing it as 1. Fire is transparent object, so game can easily draw it to alpha channel. Im not sure if this supposed to be a bug then or some modders really can do something useful with alpha (i even thought about put there depth to reduce dof costs, but it's weird).

Re: DoF with v0.319

I have heard about this issue, but can't reproduce it in my game. But some time ago a few users reported a problem with the DoF shader (graphics artefacts) and AMD cards.

Re: DoF with v0.319

I reverted code back to not use alpha for next update.

Re: DoF with v0.319

I think it may just be an issue with the DoF filter I use. It came from one of the Grim & Somber ENB presets and is pretty old.
As per mindflux' suggestion, I replaced the fx file with the optional enbdepthoffield.fx that comes with Rudy ENB for CoT and this filter does not exhibit the issue. Flames are nicely blurred when out of focus :)

However, since this filter uses a pentagonal bokeh which doesn't suit my taste, I'm going to have to look for another alternative.

Thanks everybody for your helpful posts! Appreciated.

EDIT:
Interesting. The default DoF filter from Rudy ENB 319 for CoT does show the problem a little bit, but only when the flames are far away and viewed at a certain angle.

Did you test with the latest binary updated just yesterday?

I did not. I hadn't seen it - and I wasn't looking because v.319 works so GREAT for me that I decided not to update anymore in the forseeable future. Unless there is a really good reason...
But thanks for the heads-up. I'll head over there now and take a look at the changelog.

Re: DoF with v0.319

Okay, I tried the revised 0.319 binary now and in my game, with my DoF.fx, it changes nothing.

Re: DoF with v0.319

Share all shaders .fx type you have in game folder and in enbseries folder.
