This is regarding Fallout New Vegas. Here was my understanding:
Versions later than 0.173 sacrificed the option to use MSAA in order to outright kill the "transparent hands" bug. The hands / held weapons weren't actually "transparent" so much as the background SSAO and detailed shadows were being rendered atop them, giving the impression of transparency.
The reality: I'm not really sure why, but even in the final revision, 0.451, I still get the bug. It is inconsistent, coming and going depending on what direction the camera is facing.
I've been putting up with the bug, but with the advent of DXVK, this has become impossible. DXVK works with ENB fine, but what it doesn't work with is the transparent hands bug. With DXVK running, the SSAO+detailed shadows blink on and off on the character's hands. One frame they're on, the next, off. Blinking at 30fps, half of the refresh rate. It's simply not something that can be ignored. And since DXVK provides a performance boost that's better than upgrading an entire GPU generation, it's not exactly something I want to have to give up.
Things that do work: Disabling SSAO and detailed shadows. Unthinkable. ENB's SSAO is simply the best there is, and the detailed shadows give FNV the only shadows one can realistically use in the game for the time being. It's basically half of the entire ENB package.
Things that don't work: Toggling original post-processing or original objects processing. Or anything else for that matter.
Definitive solution to the so-called "transparent hands" bug?

I dont know what you talking about, maybe dont remember it or never had it. But if you mean it appears only with DXVK installed, then there is no single chance to fix.

I don't blame you for not remembering, but it's in your patch notes. Something that kept rearing its ugly head, and possibly never solved for good.
> v0.173: Fixed transparency bug for hair and some other objects (visible when ssao, shadows or depth of field enabled).
> v0.190: Fixed first person objects "transparency" artifact when ssao or shadows enabled
> v0.230: Fixed issues with "transparent" weapons in some places of New Vegas.
The only change that comes with DXVK is that instead of simply being transparent, first person hands & weapons "flash" as the transparency issue turns on and off with each frame.

If it's fixed from changes log, then it's not there. If it's there with dxvk, then ignore it cause i do not support using any other wrappers.
