Greetings. I think is a SSAO issue. I have an GTX670.
The problem is that SSAO runs fine, but when I approach closely to other objects, my hands, sword or shield become transparent and the objects glimpse through me. See:

Image
See as wood texture can be seen through my hands.

and here, the face and arm of the soldier glimpse through my shield.

The effect is strongly noticeable here :-/

When I disable SSAO the problem dissapear. I have tried high and low quality SSAO.

Any suggestions?
Thanks

This is unfixable (cost of performance loss is too much), game draw hands and weapons in first person mode much bigger, so they by depth intersect other objects.

Ok, just wanted to know if it is a problem of the game or a problem of mine.

Certainly, the look of the arms and how it clip with the environment in 1st person sucks in this game. Maybe any camera tweak would be workable to patch this?

It's game issue. But i guess some parameters must exist to tweak depth of hands/weapons/armors, engine have a lot hidden parameters in config, find their listing from Oblivion or Fallout description and by their names try to tweak (may be it's named as distance min/max/clip or scaling). BRemember, size of hands/weapons/armors is bigger about 2-3 times than world objects, but even if you set them to 1, they will have depth issues, so as smaller scaling as possible - better (could you come close to wall with sword as in the game and it's completely visible?).

One parameter that does have an effect is fNearDistance in Skyrim.ini. By lowering it to a very low value you can most likely eliminate the first-person clipping as it will bring the near clipping plane closer, but at the same time it will probably introduce transparency issues and z-fighting with the distant terrain. Feel free to experiment, though. If I remember right, the default value is 15.000.
