Hi,

I am using the Sharpshooters Extreme Graphics Vision ENB mod and for the most part it works ok. The mod comes with the d3dll v.0.1.0.2 included.

The question is, can i download a newer d3dll file from this web site and just replace the old one, or will most ENB mods on the nexus be configured to run with a specific d3dll file/version?

The problem is, if i use v. 0102 the game launcher correctly identifies ENB as the graphics adapter and everything works fine, but if i replace with a newer version v.0113 for instance, the game launcher dont detect the ENB, and changes the graphics adapter back to radeon HD.....etc. This always results in a CTD when i load a game...

Description of preset on nexus almost always include information which file to use. Version 0.119 or 121212 recommended, "ENB" render device is obsolete and game video options must be reseted.

Hi,

unfortunatly the sharopshooter, one of the more popular and better ENBs, dont include any description as to what ENB to use....

So you say it is normal that the render device is changed back to normal GPU card rendering when using 0.113 and higher?

I'd guess you should be fine by using 0.119 - just run the game once so that new interior values are added to enbseries.ini and then replace the interior values (all should be 1.0) with night values so that they are the same, this way the interiors should look more or less as intended. I guess version 121212 will work the same, but since especially SSAO and SSIL look pretty different in 121212 there will some differences in the aesthetics. Also notice that it uses deferred rendering, so hardware AA need to be disabled.

Thanks for the quick and good assistance. Will try out 0119.

Btw, on a different topic, when i use ultra graphics on shadows they all dissapear...there are no shadows at all, but they return if i reduce shadow quality to high.

1) I am using An AMD HD 7970 card. Any ideas if this is GPU/driver related or mod/ENB related?
2) By turning off AA, i assume it is sufficient to turn it of in the game launcher?

Mod running well with all shadows quality except low (it work too, but with noise), so it's drivers probably.
Mod disable antialiasing even if set on in game video options, but it's important to turn off all existing "improvements" in catalyst control center.

 Now that's new to me.
What do you mean by this? Just not to force AF or AA via driver or to disable even Catalyst A.I.?

A.I. contains per game tweaks and improvments for AMD grahic cards. With A.I. disabled, most by A.I. improved games run faster (not A.I. improved games are not effected), but can have graphical artifacts and glitches. A.I. recognizes the .exe of a game, for Doom3 for example, it will exchange shaders to more AMD optimated, for Prince of Persia (don't know which) it will disable AA because its not capable of AA or cases errors.

So I have never disabled A.I., it's just not recommend, and as far as I can say, A.I. has no negative effect on any ENB version...
