Whenever I started walking in skyrim, the screen started flickering, as if it was adjusting the brightness. I fixed this by disabling adaptation and skylighting.

What's your system and which preset are you using? Sounds like adaptation is still not completely disabled.

Try increase or decrease the adaptation settings in the enbeffect.fx. they need to be adjusted if you disable adaptation in enbsereis.ini.
