Hello,

I just recently attempted to apply Neovalen's Skyrim Revisited, which included the use of ENBseries. After install .200 with RealVision ENB, I seemed to have run into an interesting issue. The game loads very slowly with virtually no textures:

At first, the game wouldn't load at all. After some tweaking, I got an error message saying d3dx9_43.dll was missing. I renamed d3dx9_40.dll to 43, and the crash before boot issue was resolved. Then after a little more tweaking and troubleshooting, the game wouldn't start again and I got an error in the log:

Code:
D3DXCreateEffectFromFile failed
SweetFX\Shaders\SMAA.h(810,98): error X3004: undeclared identifier 'mad'

Just for kicks, I tried removing all SweetFX files, and this allowed the game to start again (with the same issue as in the screenshot).

If I try running the game without ENBseries/RealVision, the game works just fine.

Any thoughts?

Weird, it's working now. I re-installed everything from the start and used ENBoost this time. Everything's working just fine now (except it looks like there's no V-Sync, but I'm sure I can figure that out).

Thanks!

I am also getting the textureless issue. It's only a problem indoors in skyrim, and I get it regardless of the version of enb I use. It is not an issue with other mods, because I tried it on a vanilla install of skyrim and got the same problem. I tried deactivating SSAO and it had no effect on the issue. For some reason Realistic Lighting Overhaul diminishes the effect so less meshes/textures are see-through.

Perhaps this is a problem caused by my system? I'm running windows 8.1 and beta drivers for my gtx 760 that support the operating system.

If it's not new changes in sweetfx, then could be bug in drivers or some other software running.

Do you have a recommendation in how to move forward with my diagnosis?

If you have shader error like topic starter, then remove sweetfx or download another version of it. More painful way is to unload any applications, boosters, cleaners, monitoring, overclocking and all other useless things. Driver rarely cause such problems, but driver setting do. Catalyst control center or nvidia control panel must not have forced anything, espceially ATI users have various stupid things which not actually work, even if idea is fine in general.
