Version 0.245 fixes the underwater bug for me. But I still get the same above water issues as the original post with EnableWater=true in 0.245.

Hi,

ENB for Skyrim is looking great, but unfortunately also experiencing this bug, present in 0.244, 0.245 and 0.246.

Setting enablewater=false removes problem, along with other ENB water fx.

Swapping d3d9.dll and enbhost from 0.246 with files from version 0.236 removes problem.

Video Card: ATI 7970M
Driver: 13.25.18-131129a-165580E-ATI (29/11/2013)

For extra detail if needed, for me this problem seem to originate from the edges of the water. Turning enable water from off to on shows the edges go from a dark colour to extemely bright fluro colours over about 5 seconds, resulting in the kind of 'colour burn' effect shown in the pics of the OP.

Also, it does happen whilst underwater swimming up towards the surface - seems to come from the sun refracting through the water surface.

As mentioned before, reverting back to d3d9.dll and enbhost.exe from 0.236 removes this issue, so I guess must have been a change brought in when moving to 0.24x versions.

Hope this helps.

Sorry, this is useless information, because water in 0.236 was not modified. Try each version from attached and report which work, which are not, then i'll give another tests

EDIT: file deleted, nobody interested

Hi Boris, thanks for the reply. Sorry I didn't realise water in 0.236 wasn't modified, that explains it - BUT - I've managed to knock off the error.

I noticed some users were having issues with nVidia and Optimus, so I tried disabling switchable graphics on my laptop (Ivy Bridge, 7970m and enduro) and bug has gone. I know at least one of the other guys on here had a 7970m, so might work for him and others also.

Thanks again for your work on this, pretty amazing stuff.

Hi,

I encounter the exact same bug with the latest ENB (0.251), and Water effect. It goes away when I turn water off, but turning individual water settings off doesn't seem to do much.
Happens with Phinix ENB but also with "stock" unmodified one, so I guess settings are out.

I can confirm it is linked to switchable (enduro / powerxpress / whatever name it now has) graphics (i7-3rd gen with hd4000 + AMD HD7970M). The bug goes away if enduro is disabled altogether, but appears as long as switchable graphics are on, even when I force TESV.exe and enbhost.exe to use the AMD card in their control panel --which I did ages ago, I can't see TES running on the poor HD4000, especially with ENB.

This may be linked to a bug in detecting the correct GPU at start ? (when I start TESV with switchable graphics on, it says the adapter used is the HD4000 despite the fact that skyrim runs on the HD7970M). It looks like some additive buffer is not emptied (hence the "growing" effect of water that becomes more and more like a huge light), maybe if it detects the wrong GPU it tries to empty a buffer that doesn't exist ? Just wondering.

...Anyway I thought I may add my experience here so it may help others diagnosing their problem, as jpharrison85 did.
If you need debug info or whatever to help track this bug, let me know.

Thanks,
And also thanks for the amazing ENB mod !

It's vanilla with only ENB installed. Low Quality Settings.
EnableWater = false - bug goes away.

On ver. 0.236 - no bug
