| Post subject: | Dark distant terrain (without fog) |
I have been having difficulties with getting distant terrain to look good in low fog conditions (by low fog I mean lowering the FogColorMultiplierX values). It seems like no matter what setting I change the distant terrain is always significantly darker, and that keeping the fog is the only thing that brightens it (but at the cost of washing out any colors). Is this a game limitation, or is it due to the vanilla weathers, or is it a bug? I'm not currently using any weather mods. I am using Kountervibe ENB (with lots of personal tweaks). Disabled. As you see on the 2nd screenshot, it wouldn't get that dark with ambient light set to above 1 in intensity. Is it common to have this happen if FogColorMultiplier is lowered? Here is the ini: Code: // Kountervibe ENB Extensive Shaders

Cloud shadows are enabled on your screens. GUI shows this. Otherwise dunno, let's wait 4 Boris. |

Yeah, I just set the opacity to 0 for the screenshots since you have to quit the game to disable it. Cloud shadows don't appear to cause the dark terrain in this case. You can clearly see it gets darker the further away it is, as if the fog causes the terrain to become darker. |
