sorry this isn't a bug but I don't see a technical support category. so i'll try to explain all of this in as much detail as possible...... the gist of it- i can't get enb to work, the game loads normal as if enb isn't installed OR the game launches to a black screen and crashes. So I'm installing an enb for Fallout New Vegas. I'm using ENB FalloutNV 0263 and Rudy Enb for FNV 263 (http://enbdev.com/mod_falloutnv_v0263.htm AND http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/55076/?) I've tried both the wrapper version and the injector version, I believe typically it's the wrapper that crashes to a black screen on launch, and the injector that fails to do anything at all. The maker of RudyENB suggested I try installed the base enb before installing his enb over that, so as I've tried doing just that, it was the same results. So I'm having a generic ENB issue. I've unloaded all of the ENB files (either wrapper or injector) into the FNV main folder, using the 4GB patch (latest version) and NVSE (also latest version), i've done this with the wrapper version in 2 ways. One where all files exist in the fnv folder and I launch the game that way, and one where I created a folder called FNV4GB and put the 4gb exe and 4gb helper dll there, where another exes folder was made under that folder. In both of those methods, I've launched the game as-is (from the 4gb launcher) and i've launched the game from the 4gb launcher using the 4gb mod's suggested shortcut target parameters (-laaexe .\FalloutNV4GB.exe AND with -SteamAppId 22380 -laaexe .\FalloutNV4GB.exe - both of these changed nothing, what they did in common was create the Fallout4gb.exe) The Fallout4gb.exe they created either went to one exes folder or the other depending if I used the FNV4GB folder under the FNV root folder or not. for the injector version: I've also editing the enbinjector ini to including the Fallout4gb.exe and fnv4gb.exe I've made sure to launch the ENBInjector.exe (run as administrator and without it, nothing changed either way) before running the game, launching from the 4gb launcher. for the wrapper version: I made sure the d3d9.dll was with the exe in the exes folder when that was made from the 4gb launcher. I've launched it that way with the d3d9.dll existing ONLY in the exes folder, with it ONLY in the fnv root folder, with it in the exes folder under the FNV4GB folder, with it in the FNV4GB folder itself, and with it copied in both the fnv root & exes folder, copied in the FNV4GB folder and exes folder under that folder, and with it copied in all folders. Nothing worked. as for external applications- i'm not using any video capture programs, no evga program, i uninstalled the nvidia experience program, i had teamviewer running (only running, not in-use) and re-attempted all above methods with it closed. Rudy tried to help me, TTW devs tried to help me, now I'm here.. If my fallout or computer or something unchangeable is simply not compatible with enb, than that's that, case closed. If anyone has any solutions for me, any ideas, anything. Please let me know what you think, thanks. |

SLI, antialiasing in game or in drivers, directx runtime not installed, optimus, steam overlay. Don't know what else could be. |

yea both the settings are set to off, along with HDR on, and water displacement off... directx is installed... idk what optimus is... I'll try running without the steam overlay, thanks. I'll respond back to let you know how that goes. EDIT: ok i turned off steam overlay and steam streaming and it didn't change anything. I can't figure it out.. is there some kind of log or something I can post here that might show what I've got running or anything that might pinpoint the issue? In my task tray, I have USB Device, antivirus, steam, dropbox, coolermaster driver, chrome notifications, printer scanner, google drive, google music manager, and firewall. i have chrome open usually when im running the game, and nexus mod manager. I'll look into my graphics settings... EDIT2: graphics card was all set to application controlled but I changed that to 'off' on just about everything, didn't change anything. |

Don't know what to recommend. This sounds more like incompatibility with other software, that's all i can say. PS: Driver setting must be application controlled. |
