Hello.

In Skyrim I have noticed that there is no subsurface scattering for the first person arm mesh.

It creates a color difference between the arms in third and first person.

Is there a way to enable subsurface flag for the first person arm mesh? Or perhaps it is a problem with the ENB renderer not apply subsurface effect to first person meshes?

Thank for any help.

Eh, how did you even notice that?

ENB probably doesn't detect the hands as being a 'character model' which of course they aren't, technically speaking.

I play with Enhanced Camera. Noticed it when I looked down and saw my arms were a different colour than my body.

The shadows on it look kinda lifeless.

Hopefully this can be fixed.

Yeah, that explains. Looks like the mod uses 1st person hands and 3rd person body, that's why the issue appears.

I saw a couple of evidences that Enh cam is using a combo of a first person and a third person meshes.

ps: oh yeah, there it is

This is a skse plugin that enables a visible body while maintaining the look and feel of vanilla first person and requires minimal configuration. It uses a hybrid mode where both the 1st person arms and 3rd person body are visible.

I would suggest to try IFP.

Sss can't be applied to first person models, because of game way to render them.

Ah.

Such a shame.

Thanks for the response. Perhaps I will make a custom texture to fake it.

Enhanced Camera renders its own bodies. Would it be possible to disable the 'game' hands and recreate them the same way?

And then it will be identical to IFP.

Hmm.

I tried to add slight tint to a custom texture that I applied to the first person arms only.

But for some reason the game swap to normal body texture anyway...

Oh well.
