I will start by saying this is a clean install. I HAVE NO OTHER MODS, DO NOT ASK ME ABOUT MOD CONFLICTS! I want to make that as clear as possible. This computer is new, I just put it together, and then downloaded Skyrim (first game on it actually). I will add that this is after updating all my drivers and windows files (I am running windows 7 pro 64 bit).

I download the files for installing ENB, then place the files in the wrapper version into my skyrim folder (not the data folder). I edit the SkyrimPrefs.ini to the required settings and then try and start the game. It brings up the Bethesda logo, a little box appears in the left hand corner (telling me ENB is running and my graphics card, a GTX 750 Ti) before the game simply exits completely, crashing to desktop as the title says. No error messages, nothing.

I have tried exiting all background programs (whatever they are) and the Injector version, neither works. Regenerating the SkyrimPrefs.ini and reworking it doesn't seem to work either. The only way I can get Skyrim to run again is to remove the ENB files (specifically the d3d9.dll file). After some searching I think it may be the DirectX version I have (DirectX 10), but I don't know how to fix this if it is the issue.

I can't say anything new, all the same recommendations. Antialiasing forced, crapware, overlays, geforce experience, evga/afterburner kinda soft, steam overlay, logitek/razor background processes, antivirus. You may try to update directx runtime, but when you see startup message of the mod, dx version is ok.

Yeah, I've spent two nights in a row at this, checking and double checking for forced Antialiasing, no crapware, no overlays, uninstalled Geforce Experience, no evga/afterburner to speak of, stem overlay off, no logitek/razet processes, and I don't even have antivirus installed or security stuff on.

I more or less came here to post because I already had read through all these issues in other forum posts, and none of the fixes for this problem worked for me. (I don't like asking questions about problems that have already been answered)

But there are no known other reasons. I remember some very old posts here with same issue, but not about fix for that. If you are using skse, try without it (contains memory fix). Disable memory manager in enblocal.ini too, make sure borderless mode is not enabled, finally disable defer there. These are useless tries which will not solve the problem, but may help to understand where to look at, if helps to start the game.
