Hi, I'd like to use the ENB for Fallout: New Vegas, but the d3d9.dll is incompatible with Windows 10. Ironically, it worked on Windows 7, but to make the game run on Windows 10, I have to use a DLL made to fix issues Windows 7 users had (which I never experienced). I can play on Windows 10, but not with the current DLL the FONV ENB build uses. Obviously, whoever made the fixed DLL didn't include whatever programming is needed for ENB (programing seems like magic to me, so don't expect me to understand it).

If anyone knows how to combine the two DLL files into one, or how to fix the ENB to work correctly with Windows 10, I'd be quite grateful.

Side note:
The Skyrim ENB seems to work fine, so I'm going to attempt to use that d3d9.dll in place of the Fallout one. Maybe that will work, since they both have the same name.

Okay... Maybe I'm a wizard and don't even know it...

People say programming is logic based, right?
Well, my logic is if Skyrim and FONV are basically running the same engine, and have similar files in their main folder with the same names, then maybe the Skyrim d3d9.dll that supports both ENB and Windows 10 could be used to replace the FONV d3d9.dll that doesn't support ENB and Windows 10. Turns out I'm right.

Maybe it's just dumb luck, or maybe it's because the answer was really that stupidly simple. I guess you won't know until you try, right?

So yeah... I just copied the d3d9.dll file from Skyrim into FONV, and FONV fired up with full ENB capabilities. How 'bout that? Issue resolved.

You may do what you will with this topic; I don't care, because it's resolved.

Sometimes if one is not having any issues with software, it is very funny to read other user experiences. :D

Oh wow, you're not going to believe this but I tried this out and it actually worked for me too. I'm running on win8.1 and for the life of me I couldn't figure out why d3d9.dll was causing my FONV to crash on startup. I also have Skyrim and it works perfectly fine. Thanks man, you really helped me out.

*Update*
I've since fixed the issue. Apparently I had FalloutNV.exe running in compatibility mode for Win7 for some reason. Disabled it and now v0.267 works perfectly fine.
