Hello

I've been looking for a while to find anything about this issue, aside of people saying its commin with enbs. Finally decided to make a post and see if there is some avaliable solution.

Whenever I play Fallout New Vegas with EBN on, I am experiencing short white screen flashes, it only happens outdors, and only when opening some containers, looting enemies, using pip-boy etc. Screen just flashes white for like a milisecond, and goes back to normal. I read that some people have it gray or black, and that it is common, but never found anything pointing out at possible issues.

At first I thought it might be some mods I was using, tried on a clean installed game, still same.

My PC specs (in case it might be helpful)
i5 4670k @4.2Ghz
GTX 970 (newest drivers also using geforce experience)
8gb RAM @2400Mhz (xml)

If this happen only when starting to use pipboy, containers, etc or exiting them, then it's because interior/exterior modes switching and values of enbseries.ini are interpolated.

Thanks for the fast reply.

Might sound silly, but since I am a complete ENB newb, and all I do is install already made preset, eventually tweak some basic and obvious options.
Is there any way to fix this?(I've tried few enbs presets, happens on all if thats any helpful).

There is no solution. You see, game activate very different scene in that cases which is not exterior or interior, so i need to switch to any from two immediately. Changing variables to make them same for both interiors and exteriors will make visuals worse and not worth it.

Thanks for the explanation.

Too bad there is nothing that can be done, was hoping as some people report to not have this issue.

The don't have it just because of values are not too different between interior and exterior setting, nothing else.

Hmmm, is there anything that I can do to make the said values not too different and therefore not have the white flashes? Or is that something that requires meddling with enbhost.exe insides?
Also are these values different for each user's hardware or what makes them so different that some people do have this issue and some not?

Sorry for so many questions, just pondering on how to resolve this problem, as EBN makes the game look amazingly beautiful, and no reshade+sweetfx combo comes even close.

These values are preset specific and not per hardware. If preset use interior/exterior separation in external shaders, then it will be harder to find out which values are most important to eliminate issues. In general, environment parameters are most important which affect flashing. Adaptation probably too. It's hard to say, tweaking everything to make same for interior and exterior is the only way to find out, but as i said not worth it, flashes will be anyway, because day or night time are not the same by parameters, make them all same for interiors/exteriors and any time of the day is a big piece of shit instead of mod.

This makes me confused. I've made a test on my friend's laptop, used exactly the same preset I want to use (Rudy ENB for FNV, on my PC it flashes white, on his laptop all works fine without that issue. Both done on clean installation of New Vegas. I gave a try to different presets too, similar results.

If you are really sure that exactly same preset looks fine without flashing (game setting are valid, time of the day the same), may be it worth to downgrade drivers or disable SLI, if you have it.
