Hello,

I'm using Insomnia Enb, during daytime around 11am-3pm in game time the brightness is really high. I'm also unable to change my brightness in settings, increasing or decreasing fgamma makes no difference. Since the mod author has has stopped support, I'm unable to get any help over at nexus.

I'm using 0.262 binary which the mod author recommended. I have a GTX 760, using driver version 372.70 Win8.1. Here are a few screenshots.

Maybe you have weather mod installed. Or if it's how author of preset designed it to be, you need to decrease intensity of directional light (in [ENVIRONMENT] category) for certain time of the day and may be in weather, if it used by preset (weather editor is another window activated by checkbox of main editor of enbseries.ini).

I don't have any weather mod installed , except the one which was provided by the author himself. Yes, it has "DirectLightingIntensityDay" but it doesn't work until I select ignoreweathersystem=true. Changing that doesn't produce the desired results, it has side effects. I really don't know what I'm looking for since there are a lot things with regards to lighting and brightness.

This is the preset. If you could kindly check and tell me what I'm looking for. Thank you.

You would need to adjust direct lighting intensity per weather, using the weather window.

I guess you could also try playing with the adaptation values (in the main window) to decrease brightness.

Okay i figured it. The problem was with snow.ini file. I reduced the intensity from 0.4 to 0.15, also reducing the bloom helped a bit. So if i want to replace snow.ini entirely with cloudy.ini , what must I do?

Open weatherlist.ini (usually in enbseries folder), find snow.ini and replace it with cloudy.ini. Be aware that after doing this cloudy.ini will be used in place of snow.ini so any changes you make will affect every weather for which cloudy.ini is used.

If you want to keep using snow.ini, you can replace its contents with those from cloudy.ini.

Ok, thanks a lot. :D

Since snow weathers occur only near windhelm, winterhold but cloudy weathers occurs in almost every place, I will copy the contents from cloudy.ini to snow.ini and then tweak it a little bit. I believe I must also replace the weather ID's under snow with the values used under cloudy.

No, don't touch the weather ids - otherwise snowy weather(s) won't have a weather file assigned to them.
