Something that changed between v0307 and v0344 for Fallout 4 is making in game screens really dark for me.
This affects the pipboy, recon scopes and in world terminals.
There's a bunch of threads around stating a nvidia bug with ambient occlusion but changing those settings had no impact on this.

GPU: 1080TI
Tested Driver versions: 397.64 & 397.93
Fallout version: whatever the latest is atm.
Settings 'optimized' by GF Experience.
No difference with preset or no preset applied.

Sorry, i can't help with anything which i can't see myself. The only thing i can say - you must not use GeForce Experience, it's incompatible with the mod.

I'm also an idiot and it actually IS something from a preset ...
I'll go pester people there on what it might be.

But you said preset doesnt matter. Strange anyway, presets should be immune. Unless something changed in game patch and preset utilize one of game shader constants.
