Hey. I have a problem with Mafia 1. Sometimes when I start the game (with the DX8-DX9 convertor) I get a stable 60 FPS, other times the FPS in the menu is between 52-57 and in-game between 48-52. I have no idea why it sometimes works and other times not.

Convertor do not have such influence on framerate, especially for old game.
