[Windows 11] Skyrim AE always CTDs on play with ENB

I've been scouring Google and forums only to find no solutions.

I'm using Skyrim AE with SKSE and the Wabbajack modlist. However, any combination of mods does not work. Even with vanilla Skyrim, even with any mods, Skyrim will ALWAYS CTD after clicking play while ENB is installed. Without fail and immediately.

I tried updating my graphics drivers. I tried moving my Skyrim install to my C:/ drive. I tried reinstalling DX9/11 and downloading other such files from other posts. I tried changing .ini files for SKSE and ENB. I've tried everything I could find online and to no avail.

Anything else I can try? I'm at a loss of what to do.

I can't help with this, but other people don't have issues with win11 and enbseries, so the reason is unknown.

I don't think it's a Windows 11-specific issue, that's just what I'm running.

Then search other software which run on background.

I had a similar problem. It helped me to completely reinstall the game.

If you're using Afterburner, HWiNFO or anything like that that comes with its own overlay try disabling it.

Afterburner (or Rivatuner) should be ok, I've been using it over 10 years and no problems. Ever.

Other things like some extra programs that come with graphics card drivers, might behave differently.
Although - these programs are made to run in background and for most people - do not interfere with ENB, most likely your issue is a combination of things.

But of course - to track down the problem, disable everything (anything that runs in background, not just the overlays) as a first step. And if the game will run ok, re-enable things one-by-one until finding the culprit.

Same problem but no solution.

However, in my case it is like this the d3d11.dll from version 0488 (27.03.2023) runs without issues.
But all releases after that crash.

The only way to try make workaround is if you join discord and spend several times to test various builds till problem is found.

I am not familiar with this matter, however some change must be causing problems for me and a few others.

d3d11.dll from version 0488 27.03.2023 --> no crash
d3d11.dll from version 0488 30.03.2023 --> crash
