Hello all new member here, I will build a gaming PC and the parts I thought of getting are following;
-5600X
-6800XT
Will I have trouble in performance? I know this thread is pretty old but I love to mod my games and ENB is pretty important. I will mainly play Stalker Anomaly and Skyrim modded. Is my 6800XT going to suffer? Is the driver support here yet? Thanks.

I still see from time to time people reporting very poor performance with amd cards cause of power management issue when videocard do not run at full speed, dropping frequencies. So i can't suggest amd.

Update for 2024:
I upgraded from a Gigabyte 4080 to a Sapphire Nitro+ 7900XTX recently.
ENB works fine, framerate and overall smoothness is higher in Skyrim SE.
Oblivion is about the same between cards.

Re: people with AMD cards, how does it perform in ENB?
Hello !
I'm posting a message in this topic because I'm having a little problem with ENB.
When I play FiveM, my graphics card runs at around 60 degrees for 120 FPS. As soon as I activate ENB my graphics card quickly climbs to around 80-90 degrees (hotspot).
In fact, the moment I press "Use Effect" my graphics card shows 15-20 degrees. When I reduce my FPS to 60 I no longer have any concerns about overheating, but my experience is much less enjoyable with 60 fps.
Graphics card: AMD RX 7900 XTX (Powercolor Hellhound)
Game Quality : Very High - 2560x1440 - 120Hz
ENB used : Basic
Do you think this is normal?
Thanks in advance,

You should look at the gpu usage % in the various situations you mentioned. I'm guessing that's what makes up the difference.
I don't have first hand experience with that AMD gpu specifically but in general it seems normal to me with 100% usage on air cooled stock gpu.

For your specific situation, 90C hotspot is within spec for the 7900XTX. Powercolor cards are fantastic, but they are less expensive and they only equip them with enough cooling to keep the card at AMD's specifications.
