Hi Boris,
The add-on community for Microsoft Flight Simulator is huge, despite the fact that FSX was never finished before Microsoft fired the entire development teams. One of the main challenges that we face is the dreaded OOM error. It usually occurs at the end of a long flight right before landing. It happens a lot more often with addons, but it can even happen with barely any addons installed at all. The community has a million tweaks and fixes, some of which help, but the problem is still very real.
An old version of ENB from GTA:SA has been used by a number of FSX users for some time, but what I really think would be beneficial, if it's possible, is a version of ENBoost to reduce the texture memory usage. FSX is almost entirely CPU bound - the difference in performance between at GTX 260 and a GTX 670 is very small, assuming that the processor used in the test is the same.
If ENBoost could be modified to work properly with FSX to improve stability, it would be very appreciated. I (and honestly nearly the entire FSX community, most likely) would be happy to help with any testing needed.
Thanks for your time,
-stefan

Re: ENBoost for Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Don't have this game and it not available for digital purchasing anywhere, i can't use cracked because of security. I don't have second display to fix compability issues (many FSX users play in multimonitor mode). Even if i can solve first problem by using one of hdd for new OS, this means i need to finish work very fast or it will not allow to do anything else (i don't think game can be played in VirtualBox). The second problem can be ignored, but users will annoy me with same requests, i don't like this. But the most important is that i have no idea which binaries (game version) are widely used by players, may be unofficial patches modify them and this broke all my work (i asked on the fsx forum several days ago and nobody replied).

Re: ENBoost for Microsoft Flight Simulator X
I actually do know the answers to these questions so I'd be happy to answer. The versions to support are either the official SP2 or Acceleration. There's no unofficial patches - the modding community doesn't touch that stuff. I can't comment on multi-monitor since I gave that up a while ago as FSX doesn't implement it very well at all. I can provide any other info as well.

Then describe everything, where to buy the game (digital version only) or which i need to download to make sure it's used by all players. Which mods do i need to see crashes.

I have a post ready but because it has URLs in it I can't post it. Would you like me to PM it to you?

Nope, it's still complaining about off-site URLs. I tried logging out and back in as well as a different browser that I had never used on this site.

Edit: I was able to fudge it a bit and get it to post below. You'll need to fix the links but they should be fairly obvious - I can repost the whole post if I get the ability.
Thanks!

I'm not sure if you'll be able to from Russia, but it's available legally online and digital from ht p://marketplace.xbox. om/en-US/Product/Flight-Simulator-X/66acd000-77fe-1000-9115-d8044d530935
As for addons, the problem here is that most of the quality addons are payware. Fortunately, for some of the main ones, there are demos available. You can probably get away with primarily testing ORBX stuff, which has demos available at:
h tp://fullterrain.c m/product_demos.html
Those should be largely enough for initial testing. FSDreamTeam airports also have a demo mode (it works completely for a set amount of time and then it will disappear, so keep that in mind when testing)
Those are available at ht p://fsdreamteam.c m/products.html
I can suggest other things that you can try as well if you need, but those should be enough to get started I think. Let me know if you need any more information, and thanks!

Re: ENBoost for Microsoft Flight Simulator X
Well, this is final point in my decision, i will not buy this crap. Will try in VirtualBox, if it fail to work, then may be sometime when i'll unplug hard drivers and install empty (have 1 tb free). This software uses digital rights management software (“DRM”). DRM may limit the number of times you are permitted to install this software on a computer and/or the number of computers to which you may install the software.
