You may or may not have have heard about Durante's GeDoSaTo http://blog.metaclassofnil.com/?tag=gedosato
One of the many features it has is that it's able to override the game textures, and also dump all the textures that the game loads into a folder. I'd like to be able to override textures with ENB. Unfortunately GeDoSaTo and ENB are not compatible and the game will crash upon launch, and I'd rather use ENB because it has more effects, better performance, and it's way more customizable.
I already saw that you are not very happy with this game Boris, but please consider it. The work you did with Dark Souls 2 already is amazing.

Re: Dark Souls 2 texture overriding feature request
I can do something, but this doesn't mean i need to love the game, ok? Regarding request, i need the code of texture replacement from Durante, otherwise it's useless incompatible. Also i can't dump textures, it's prohibited activity by any license, so better if his mod do this, not mine.

Well I guess you can try to contact him about the code, I wouldn't know exactly what to tell him.
I basically have no idea how this stuff works, but I think he kind of injects the textures. So somewhere in between being grabbed from the drive and going to the GPU, he replaces them, and not before they are loaded.

Just a heads up, but GeDoSaTo now supports ENB compatability, and they go together beautifully.
Also, GeDoSaTo is open source now, if you'd like to take a look at any of it

Re: Dark Souls 2 texture overriding feature request
Sorry, i forgot about this feature (and a lot of others). Anyway, if both mods can work now, no reason for me to implement it
