Rain Clipping Fix?
I know this is a vanilla issue, but I was wondering if you had ever considered finxing/replacing the rain effect for something with proper mesh collision. Is it even possible? Would a fix be very resource intensive?

Re: Rain Clipping Fix?
I never seen the rain in the game (and i played it less than 1 hour, everything else for testing). Right now tried to force weather to see how rain looks like and dissapointed. Where did you saw rain drops? If those rare 1-2 per 5 seconds, i don't care how they look and what they do. Only fw d4886 allow to see something similar to rain, but it's not any closer to rain in modern games. There is no much sence in such rain drops. Anyway, collisions is not graphics, not a fan of this game and the last time i want to modify is frequently patched game, so i'll think how to improve rainy weather, but not rain drops.

Re: Rain Clipping Fix?
There's someone working on a clipping fix here, but looks like he's manually disabling the rain and/or snow effect as soon as the player steps on a trigger placed under anything that's supposed to give shelter from the rain. The hitboxes need to be placed manually, so it's quite a lot of work and probably causes compatibility issues with other mods, but it definitely looks promising.

Re: Rain Clipping Fix?
I didn't mean individual drops when I said the rain didn't clip. I was talking about the system in general. Supposedly Skyrim uses some sort of screen overlay (I know nothing of these graphical things, so I apologize if something I say is incorrect) that toggles on/off depending on the weather. It creates the illusion of rain, but doesn't have individual drops. I thought (again I don't know much about this) that the overlay could somehow be disabled and replaced with some sort of shader that projects rays from above and cuts the effect where the rays end (collision, I think). I was mostly curious about it though, thanks for the response.ENBSeries wrote:I never seen the rain in the game (and i played it less than 1 hour, everything else for testing).
