Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if this belongs here but I have a small question about the ENB 0.229 SSAO shader for Skyrim: I tried pretty much all the settings and 3 different presets but couldn't ground the rocks. When turning SSAO on and off there was really no perceptible shadowing (beyond color changes for the whole screen) when looking at corners. Is there a setting I overlooked or a preset around I should look into?

Thanks in advance!

Spock

A bit hard to understand what exactly do you want, but may be just a wrong misunderstanding while compare to ssao in other games? Mine work very different, it's lighting approximation, not shadowing in corners. Anyway, mixtype variable change how it work, so you can see even more classic style of ssao (type=2 if i remember). AOAmount and intensity also that kind of thing. Fade distance is what it says. Lowe sampling range make look more accented.

Well, I like SSAO that applies a little shadowing in corners and wondered how it can be achieved using ENB. I found out UseOldType=true does what I want.

I had some trouble finding a detailed documentation of the SSAO options for Skyrim ENB. I'd be very interested in what those options do and what options work with UseOldType=true.

Regards,

Spock

I don't like to write docs, but you can find something and documents on the site or in readme in changes log. This information could be written to other mod, not skyrim, but many of features are same or similar.

Yes, I can understand that. I wouldn't want to write docs for a project in my free time either. Thanks anyways for all your great work!

What are the settings in game you used to create your SSAO video on youtube and the picture guide on different filters around here? I'd very much like to try out different SSAO settings ingame but it's kind of hard to see with all those textures in between.

I don't remember, but prefer SizeScale=1.0, TextureSizeScale=0.5 and SamplingQuality=1, AOIntensity=1.4, AOAmount=2.0, this is for old gf9600gt card.

Thank you for the info! I'm not entirely sure we understood each other though :)
What I meant is how do you setup Skyrim to look like this:
