(TOPIC)
Where do the files for this download get placed:
http://www.enbdev.com/mod_tesskyrim_v0119.htm
[BEGIN RANT]
There is no readme anywhere, and I'm sure as hell not spending any amount of time looking for information that the uploader was too lazy to include in the download and or on the page itself. I shouldn't have to come to the forum to ask what I'm going in this topic so yes I'm highly annoyed already that I have to do so. If people uploaded things correctly then people like me wouldn't have to create a topic like this. Not sure what the hell is with people on the internet thinking it's ok to say and advertise something and then assume someone knows what you're talking about, and if they don't, call them a troll like the hidden information is so easy to find and it's the readers fault for not knowing..Sorry it doesn't work like that. If no one bothers to explain anything correctly, and or there are no instructions that EVERYONE can understand then the reader is not at fault. The uploader is.
For the record, The instructions should be with the download itself or at least on the page that should be with the entire download itself, so because they're not, then I will not decrypt any instructional replies. I WILL ignore any comments that say things like figure it out, it's explained, try asking nicely, I OUTRIGHT WILL NOT I repeat WILL NOT go looking for information from links left by anyone (If you can take the time to post the link, then you can certainly provide the actual typed out answer) I also don't really care about what people think of my attitude, because again, if you can type out an entire comment about my attitude, that means you can type out the entire answer.
If I have been forced to come to the forum to ask something like this then this topic and my attitude is what happens in short, don't piss me off, and I won't complain..simple concept people on the internet seem to not get yet. They think they have a right to piss people off like this then try to reprimand the person who gets like this when it doesn't work like that. So what people need to start realizing, is that this entire topic could/would have been completely avoided by simply providing the instructions with the upload..IT really is that simple. my attitude was caused by no instructions...and no I won't ask nice because I a being jerked around...it's inexcusable to not have instructions with an upload.
Anyone who helps me thank you. other than that, people's comments towards me are not relevant because the issue is there are no instructions where there is supposed to be, not my attitude.
People need to quit trying to force the internet into college courses where people need to look things up themselves, WRONG! if you advertise something then you better explain it, not tell someone to go do your work because again this isn't school or a college theses paper. If I wanted to do that I sure as hell wouldn't be here typing a complaint about this on a forum, I would be in a class I PAID TO DO THAT IN.
Sorry, but I'm really sick and tired of people on the internet doing this.
And for the record, don't trying being a smart ass and posting how there is a readme with the download either, because that readme doesn't explain anything abut file placement, or about how to get anything in the download working.
[/END RANT]
So again anyone who actually helps me THANK YOU VERY, VERY, MUCH!
Enjoy the morning/day/night (where ever you are)

i use the wrapper version. everything in that folder is placed in your Skyrim installation folder. simple as that. when you load up your game, a version of ENB should appears on your left hand top corner. when in-game, press Shift+Enter to bring up the parameters... from there on, a new world of fun awaits you. i try to explain as simple as it can be. don't forget to save every now and then

I'm not not sure why the uploader couldn't provide that sentence themselves, and that's inexcusable for them hot to, however thanks for the answer.OhKay wrote:i use the wrapper version. everything in that folder is placed in your Skyrim installation folder. simple as that. when you load up your game, a version of ENB should appears on your left hand top corner. when in-game, press Shift+Enter to bring up the parameters...
There are still 2 things that have not been clarified.
1. Does the entire Folder titled wrapper go into a directory, or do you open the folder titled wrapper and place all those loose files into whatever directory they goes in?
2. Clarify what exactly it means by the Skyrim installation folder, Try naming some files in that directory.

Lets get 1 of 2 things straight right now ok pal.ENBSeries wrote:You have created topic in gallery category of the site and trying to blame me for something? All problems in your own mind.
1. If you uploaded that mess, then YES it absolutely is your fault, because it's 100% inexcusable for you not to provide instructions with things you upload.
OR
2. If you didn't upload it, then what you're saying is not relevant!
Nevertheless, it doesn't matter who uploaded it, because there are still two things in it that have not been clarified in the slightest:
1. Does the entire Folder titled wrapper go into a directory, or do you open the folder titled wrapper and place all those loose files into whatever directory they goes in?
2. Clarify what exactly it means by the Skyrim installation folder, Try naming some files in that directory.

relax dude, its gonna inflame the topic. ok, all the files in the wrapper folder are to be placed in your Skyrim installation folder. example, D:\Games\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. you dont have to rename anything. just drop all the files in wrapper folder into where you have installed Skyrim.
there's an easier way, go to http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/newtoday//? search for ENB. most presets uploaded by tweakers have instructions on how to install but what i have explained will get you started just fine. i was just like you not too long ago
here's one great ENB presets you should try, had all instructions on installing. http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/38944/? by the great Oyama. i highly recommended.

With all due respect, the Nexus sucks ass!! Everyone on staff, along with most of the members, are so fucking full of themselves on their high horses, they have no idea what end is up or how the law works when it comes to mods.OhKay wrote:relax dude, its gonna inflame the topic. ok, all the files in the wrapper folder are to be placed in your Skyrim installation folder. example, D:\Games\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim. you dont have to rename anything. just drop all the files in wrapper folder into where you have installed Skyrim.

You're talking about a site who cannot even get their own rules straight (They allow nude mods and other such crap, but yet ban people for saying the word FUCK because they don't want anything inappropriate on the site. They also have this TOS that that gives uploaders a false sense of mod protection by getting people to believe their mods are safe and no one can touch them without permission which is totally untrue. (Once you upload a mod to the net regardless of what you did, the tools used or anything, you no longer have rights to it because they become property of Bethesda, they also allow donations, and a lot of the time once they get your money, they ban you from the site the little bunch of thieving jackasses.
They also posted information that they took from me that I had been saying for years that everyone said I didn't know what i was talking about, and all of a sudden the Nexus posts it, then all of a sudden everyone who was arguing with me instantly changed their tune and agreed with what the nexus wrote.
Literally every mod on the nexus and the Skyrim workshop has been made incorrectly, because people don't understand how the game is programed and think it's not important to know that stuff, and don't even think placing something as simple as a barrel in Whiterun, can screw up events that may not happen for another 20 hours into the game with something completely unrelated. which is why people are continually having major problems with Skyrim, and despite it's clear about the cause of the problem, they continue blaming the game for bugs and glitches that are caused by the mods they're using.
I could go on but it's pointless.
PS I also am in the middle of a major legal issue with Steam to the point where there are now a few US federal entities taking action against VALVE, for their illegal business practices.
