I'm using enbseries 0.221 with Skyrim and have tweaked my settings to something that I really like. However, along the way, I introduced a behavior in which some of the settings don't seem to be correct until manually using the "load configuration" button on the enb gui. When I first start a game, enb is active, and most of the processing effects are evident, but it's like I'm using a completely different configuration than the one I created. Interiors, for example, are extremely dark and the saturation seems to be fairly low. Once I manually load configuration, my tweaks kick into effect. I didn't notice it for quite some time while I was testing, because I was constantly making changes to the ini files and manually loading the config. Once I noticed it, I had no idea what I'd changed to cause it. Is there some setting that would cause certain features to not be active until manually loaded?

No, all setting are loaded at startup by same functions which used when pressing "load config" button. Check if you don't have dublicated config files in "enbseries" and root game folder, make sure file don't have read only flag, if you are using ssd, then check entire disk for errors and also try to create copy of the file, but delete previous. Turn off antivirus, if you running it. If you are using weather system, try to disable it, may be one of that files corrupted.

Tried all that, no luck. Backed up all ENB files and redownloaded; everything worked fine. Dropped my enbseries.ini back in, and I was right back to the same problem. So I switched back to the default enbseries.ini, then started merging my file's changes in a couple at a time and running Skyrim to see when the problem started. Turned out to be ambient occlusion. Disabled that, and I'm good to go. I don't know if there's an issue with my graphics card drivers, if I messed up the ambient occlusion settings, or if there's something written on the home page written in 24 point type saying "Don't enable ambient occlusion if _____" that I whizzed right past (my money's on that one.) Weird thing is that it works just fine with it enabled, as long as I manually load the configuration each time I run it.

Whatever, problem's fixed. Thanks for your help, and a big thanks for enbseries itself.
